Stunning 360° views from the summit above wide Panamanian landscapes in all directions. The route is quite easy and was a little too less challenging for us, besides the last meters which were pretty steep.

We did the hike for the sunrise and started at 4:15 am from town center, through a little forest trail and then to the summit. We arrived there after 6km at 5:45am and were able to enjoy a beautiful morning. But don’t expect any sun in the rain season, it’s too cloudy therefore. There is no entrance fee and the only difficult thing is that near the top you have to decide for a little path on the right instead of going up a bigger path to the red-and-white towers. From the summit we continued the path and ended up in the garden of a little local village :D From there we got out and went back on the road wich was interesting but pretty steep up and down again.

In total it took us 16km and 5,5 hours including the break at the top (1 hour more or less). Bring a headlamp when you are doing it for the sunrise. Can recommend “maps.me” for a pretty...

Nice easy hike only 45 min. Shame we couldn't see anything at the top due to the clouds. Beautiful and peaceful anyway. No trail signs anywhere but use goggle maps, location is accurate. We drove for a while but then parked near a gate because the road was turning bad and we had a normal SUV. You can do it with a 4x4 but it's a tough narrow road so I suggest to walk. Still max 1 hr to the top depending where you park, even...

You can't really beat this view. I wish I came here for sunrise because I have a feeling it'll be drop dead gorgeous. The hike is relatively easy. The trail gets thin at some point (around a yard) so I guess not that thin, but still a bit scary at 40 mph winds
