Peru Top Treks — Local services in Huaraz

TLDR: Excellent experience with Jesus and his team. Everything went like clockwork and all our needs were met seamlessly. Couldn't have asked for a better guide/ tour company.

We were a group of 7 friends and had 3 team members supporting us: Jesus, Edwin and Tito. We felt so looked after, from coca tea at our tents in the morning to popcorn in the afternoon after a long day hiking. Jesus met with us before hand to ensure all our questions were answered and we were ready for the challenge. He suggested aclimatization hikes (most were free) and was always happy to help by WhatsApp. Jesus taylor-made the hike for us, on day 2 he suggested taking the alpine route which was a bit more challenging but more beautiful, we were the only group on that route. The food was exceptional considering the wilderness around us and the attention from beginning to end was just incredible. We even had a surprise tipple on our last night camping. Other groups we talked to weren't as happy with their team despite having more than double the amount of staff supporting them. I wish Jesus and the team success in future because they...

We did the 6 day huayhuash hike with Jesus, we had an amazing hike, beautiful scenery and perfect weather, easily the best hike I have done. Jesus and his team were exceptional in the communication pre trek and helping us organise our acclimatisation hikes and answering all of our questions. On the hike Jesus and Edwin were really good guides they provided snacks for the day and we had some delicious picnics for lunch along the way. The camp locations were spectacular, and all our tents were always set up and ready when we arrived. The food was delicious and there was always hot water for teas and coffees. The morning coca tea wake ups were a highlight also.The equipment was top quality, the tents spacious and the sleeping bags warm. 10 stars if it would be possible! My boyfriend and I did the 3-day Quillcayhuanca trek with Jesus last May and this was the most impressive experience of our 2 months in Peru and Bolivia. The trek is not so well known and that is a big perk: we only met 2 other hikers on those 3 days. The surroundings of this trek are unimaginably beautiful and every day was very different. Jesus is for sure the best guide you could wish for. His English is fluent, he is a very experienced hiker and guide, he knows a lot about the area and he has high quality materials.
