It was my first time to go on trekking on an active volcano. the path going to Mt. Cagua (ka-wa) was not an easy task, so make sure to be physically prepared when you go here. make sure to wear proper attire such as shoes, long sleeved shirt( protect you from plants that kight cause skin irritation and insects ie. alimatik). prepare water and food since there will be no available stores once inside the area. the best place to stop and eat is at station 5 because there is a natural water source where you could refill your water bottles. the view at crater and volcano vents are out of this world so prepare your cameras, listen to tour guides to avoid falling on the boiling mud 😬. the view at the rolling hills on top of the mt cagua vents are majestic. make sure to see the waterfalls too! take nothing but memories and pictures, specially its flora and fauna. overall, the trek was a must-try but not for those with weak knees, not kid-friendly too due to the steep climbs.
