Great for all outdoor enthusiasts, backpackers, mountaineers, trail runners or just a typical seasoned climber. See GenSan's panoramic view in this place while experiencing the outdoors. Take a glimpse of almost all mountain ranges of South Cotabato, GenSan and Sarangani; including the Majestic Mt. Matutum. Sanchez Peak is accessible by Balisinang Trail and Balakayo Trail. Balisinang Trail is recommended for those who wants to take the true hiking experience (the trek will take for about 2-3 hours). The Balakayo Trail however, is already accessible for 4X4 vehicles. At the peak, there are numerous accommodations like huts, tent rentals and tent areas. A must-visit place, for outdoor and nature lovers. (You can also do reservations, food preparations like native chicken and tour/mountain guides.)

If you want, do contact me and experience Sanchez Peak in an awesome way. And get a chance to have photos taken by me and be included in my Kim Tiblani Adventures : Weekend Warriors vlog and album. Yep, I do it during weekends. So see you here on your next trip!

Only accessible during the dry season using a 4×4 or a motorcycle. Or you can hike to the top. If you decide to take an AWD, be prepared for a very bumpy ride to the top, but once you are at the peak, the views of General Santos and its environs are amazing. When I visited, there was a structure that obstructed the beautiful view. You have to wear good walking shoes since you still have to walk a distance to reach the top. The place is recommended for team building activities and visitors can also camp here. You can also request the caretakers to cook for you, although the choice is very limited - we had adobo. There is no water at the peak and the toilet needs improvement. There are also some basic huts for rent if you want to spend more time here although there is not much to do here at the moment. They say that sunsets...

Away from the city and away from the busy streets of downtown General Santos. You can get here by taking different trails. You will experience different types of trails, rocky, sandy, uphill, downhill, with shade and open field. Food and drinks are available at the peak also different spots where you can place your tent and...
