SURROUNDINGS Well-maintained surroundings. It's clean.
POOL It has a kiddie pool and a larger pool for grown-ups. The neat thing about the pool area is the shaded areas. They attached strings with banners that act as a shield from the sun at peak hours.
FOOD Amazingly great-tasting food. Not the usual MSG-laden food that you get from restos this far out of the city.
The food was flavorful and sumptuous.
ROOMS Quite pricey rooms. No functionality in the furniture. The Satellite TV sucks. It is limited to local channels.
Since there were no good channels, we wanted to plug in a Nintendo to the TV. But it did not have an HDMI port.
CR has Hot Shower, a Bidet and a towel hanger. It is as bare as could be.
Rooms have no phones for room service! You have to go find room boys or go to the front desk for service.
There are no cabinets for your stuff. So you just put them on the floor or on the coffee table.
Beds are quite comfortable and springy. The pillows are soft. Towels are scarce for replacements.
BEACHFRONT The beach has white sand. Although when you get to the edge closer to the water. You may see a lot of rocks and corals.
Especially during low tide, the seaside is quite tricky to navigate if you are barefoot.
They could have easily removed all those rocks, scattered corals and all but they did not.
The beachfront at Isidro's Beach is way better than Blue Sands. It is way more friendly to kids and adults who are not used to walking on stones and corals.
PARKING SPACE Adequate if the place is not packed. Vehicles are parked in a secured are with guards.
Upon entering you are greeted by a fountain filled with such amazing KOIs. They are huge too.
If you are used to good hotel service then this place is not for you.
If you don't mind filling the gap and paying for it at the same time then this...
Β Β Β Read moreDONβT eat in the food and use their water!!! β 12th August 2018 We are a German family. We were looking forward to spend some days in the Resort Blu Sand in the west of Mindanao. We tested the restaurant and the beach for one afternoon about one week before. The restaurant was ok, quite expensive however. The beach looks good, but it is unsuitable to go for a swim. They are so many stones and corals and a lot of sea weed. You can just sit and watch. The pool is clear and nice. We were there with the whole family (German and Pinoy) for 3 days. The first great surprise was, that they had just painted the room, we should take. It smelled so strong of fresh paint that I got a headache after 10 minutes. The second great surprise was the water from shower and tap/faucet. It was disgusting. It tastes salty and smelled horrible. I think we all got sick just by the first time brushing our teeth. We used water from bottels to brush our teeth and avoided taking a shower. After three days the pinoy part of the family left. We stayed for 2 more days. I ate a salad in the evening. Upon the dinner I felt worse and worse. I had diarrhea, fiber and spend almost all day and night in the CR. Iβve had never in my live such stomach cramps. We left earlier than planned to go to check up to a hospital in CDO. The took examples from blood and stool. I thank God after four days they could not find any poison or infection anymore. Of course I was dehydrated. They gave me medicine against the cramps and diarrhea so that I could overcome the flight back to Germany to days later. The other family members had similar problems, but less strong. My pinoy wife still got some after 1 day back in Germany. I donβt know if the was the water, the salad or something else in that resort. But I would never go again to the Blu Sand Resort...
Β Β Β Read moreDISAPPOINTING. Booked this place despite the existence of many other nice and more affordable resorts nearby because it claims to offer a variety of water activities/rides. Turns out we paid a large sum for their ridiculously expensive small cottage (2K) and and entrance fee (200/pax) WITHOUT even enjoying a SINGLE ride. The banana boats there are basically for decoration.
Deeply disappointed by the fact that even though I booked a reservation and clarified about the availability of their rides, they had NO OPERATORS present when we came and the glass boat was DEFECTIVE and the excuses they made were unacceptable. Upon making the reservation, I was told all rides were available except the parasailing. They made an excuse that because there are only a few people on the weekdays their operators are away. If this is the case, they should update and change their posts on their page and STATE that rides are just available during the weekends, or they could've just told me when I tried to clarify while making the reservation. They are basically FALSE ADVERTISING!
To add, there are no doors in the shower. They cannot assume that people are comfortable being seen naked by someone of the same gender.
Overall, I think the staff at the place may be nice but are lacking of professionalism and the management apparently is POOR.
No apology done and no...
