This place is one of the well-known beach resort in CDO due to its affordable cottages and entrance and not so much restrictions and wider beach front compared to the others nearby. As of now, my recent visit on this place was last Feb 1,2022. They are now open to public but no overnight stay. You can only stay and enjoy the place until 5pm. The entrance was now P20 compared b4 that it was only P10. The cottages range from P300-P1,500. There beachfront so far is ok. Garbage sacks are every where you can put you left-overs and trash. The only minor issue i observe was there cottages. Its not anymore ok. Some of the covered cottages have problems. Damage seats and tables and the electric sockets are some if not functioning are grounded. Another concern is that, Restrooms for taking shower and changing clothes has payment of P20. as a traveller and goer i sometimes find it annoying because ive known this place for quite sometime and sorry to say that i paid an entrance of P20, i paid for the cottage and you knew that your place is a beach which normally people will really take a shower and change after. And i knew that the water your using is deep well and smells like rust. But still you let your customers pay for the restrooms??? i hope management can do something with that because a lot of people are visiting your place and not all has enough budget to spend specially this pandemic and i do understand also the situation of your busness. But if u want your customers to pay for the said price maybe you can also look in improving your place. That time i might give 5 stars for that. But still i enjoyed my visit in...
Read moreMore famous Apple Tree resort is just west of this place, and Apple Tree has very nice (for the Philippines, and expensive) accomodation, but as far as the beach itself, Maravilla is much nicer (because they haven't build much on it--yet). I'm sure when they get some money they will build on it and ruin it though, as it's hard to charge people for nice trees and sand. There is an entrance fee of like 20 peoso (50 cents US) and they give you a coupon for a small snack at the canteen. I usually just walk down the coast to it from where I live (for free) but have paid a few times. Most beaches in the philippines were awesome before the people here build these horrible dark smell building far too close to the water concrete or bamboo huts. Maravilla is nice because there is (compared to other places around here) not much building (yet) so I...
Read moreGoing to this beach resort remains a bit challenging because of the pot holes and small road access. At the time of visit, we paid 20 per person entrance fee. Cottages are priced at 500 and 1000 php. Unfortunately they remained the same cottages over the years and they were barely repaired. If you are planning to bring a component for your music, I suggest you bring the rechargeable speakers, because the outlet is not functioning therefore you cannot use it for charging. However, you can go to their store to charge with no extra cost. I actually love this beach because of its shoreline and it's clean. Hoping for an improvement on...
