At some point I thought that Plaza was losing points, as a bigger mall, Afi Palace, close-by, seemed more interesting to many customers. But, anyway, I go rarely to malls, and I haven't been in any of them in a long time. However, in the past months I happened to go once to Afi and two times in Plaza (yep, to the movies :))), and I was surprised to see how many people are in Plaza again. Maybe because it's been recently renovated and it looks nice, maybe because it's a lot quieter than Afi and people can actually hear each other, maybe because it's smaller and people can visit their favorite shops in 30 min, or get tickets to movies faster, fact is, it's crowded again! I liked it better when there were very few people there, but on the other hand, this means that Plaza isn't going to be out of business too soon,...
Read moreEven if I live quite close to this mall, I just re-discovered it in the last time. This is not because I don't like to make shopping here but because it's terribly served by public transportation. The tram 41 is the only one that stops close to Plaza Romania but it has no stops at Lujerului (it passes under the intersection) so there's no cohincidence with other busses. On the other side, the busses 137/138 just don't stop here, you have to walk a lot. for the rest, since 2004 it's agood place to visit, with a lot of shops (the same as all over the world) and a nice food court, never too crowded. What I don't like of this lace is that's quite chaotic, with no indicators of where you are. Quite disturbing, are also the long queues caused by Farmacia Tei and by the national Authority...
Read moreWorst building design, lacks informational signs, only 1 map at the secondary entrance and 2 nonfunctional elevators and if you want to go from level 0 to -1 you need to move to the other side of the building because the right side lifts only goes to 0-1-2 (the not working one) and to go to -1/-2 you gotta walk around 50 meters or so and start the search for the elevator that is hidden behind an emergency door The parking is a horror experience too, only 1 way out of the underground parking level, and after i could park safely there followed the signs that got me into the emergency tunnels instead of the mall, and i wasn't the only one that got there by mistake YAY ! quick note, the emergency exists are unfinished, even the building is from 2005 | Never coming back to this place...
