My friend and I booked a private tour with Baikal Secrets. We did contact Ivan at the beginning. Ivan’s English is excellent and everything was perfect for us. He answers quickly and accurate to our questions and our communication was excellent from start to finish. Our guide “Egor” picked -up us at the airport just like promise and dropped us off at the hotel on our 1st night. We started the day with an Irkutsk city tour and then spent the next day exploring Listvyanka. We visited historical open-air museum, went dog-sledding and snow mobile, and tried an Omul at the market. Egor is very friendly and knowledgeable. He knows the historical facts and always explains the touristic attractions and showing details about the nature and way of life. The driver is also very thoughtful and polite. The hotel in Irkutsk (Marx Hotel) is very new, clean and within a good location (we can walk to the city approx. 10 mins). Also the guesthouse that Ivan prepare is warm, cozy with private bathroom and food from host is very good. Everything was well organized through the trip with reasonable price.

I had a great trip to Lake Baikal thanks to the team of Baikal Secrets. Everything was perfect, it really couldn't have been better. I went dogsledding in Listvyanka on the first day - which was so much fun! The dogsledding place is family run, they clearly love their dogs and handle them very well. They're also competing in races, so it's not purely a tourist place which makes it even nicer and more authentic. I then went to do the Olkhon island trip for 3 days, which was amazing. The nature is absolutely beautiful and I've never seen anything like it. Everything went super smoothly, we had a great guide driving us and showing us around. We saw ice caves, drove on the frozen lake, had lunch cooked on the lake... It was so many great impressions. Also the accommodation was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The food was great, too. All in all, this trip was a huge success and any worries I had before going were completely unwarranted. Big thanks to...

If you are looking for a way to experience the Baikal area around Irkutsk, look no further! We are extremely grateful that we have chosen BaikalSecrets for our tours to Tunka Valley, Arshan and Olkhon Island. Especially the Olkhon Island tour was a once in a lifetime tour for us. The planning and pre-communication was perfect. We were picked up punctual, felt safe during all trips (e.g. due to excellent driving, perfect English skills).
