From the moment you arrive, the Hegra Visitor Centre sets the tone for an unforgettable journey into the ancient Nabataean world. The staff welcomes you with traditional Saudi hospitality—seasonal drinks, dates, and sweets—creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The centre itself is thoughtfully designed, featuring an exhibition space that provides insightful context about Hegra's rich history, and a gift shop offering unique souvenirs.
Tours depart from the centre, led by knowledgeable local guides known as Rawis, accompanied by Rangers who ensure the preservation of the site. The standard coach tour covers major landmarks such as the Tomb of Lihyan son of Kuza, Jabal Ithlib, and Jabal AlBanat. For a more intimate experience, the augmented reality tour in a vintage Land Rover offers a unique perspective, bringing the ancient civilization to life through AR technology.
Practical amenities like clean restrooms, free parking, and clear signage enhance the overall experience, making it accessible and comfortable for all visitors. Whether you're a history enthusiast or a curious traveler, the Hegra Visitor Centre provides an enriching and well-organized introduction to one of the world's most remarkable...
Read moreI booked my Hegra tour well in advance, as did all the other people in my group. I must say that our guide was very professional, providing clear and detailed explanations throughout the visit. However, there is an important point that I believe should be addressed.

Read moreI had the most incredible experience visiting Hegra. The place itself is absolutely magical — walking among the ancient tombs and structures truly transported me back in time, making me imagine the lives of the people who once lived there. It felt like stepping into history, a rare and unforgettable feeling.

The way he explained the history, culture, and significance of Hegra was outstanding. He brought the stories of the site to life with such clarity and passion, and his guidance made me appreciate the place even more deeply.
If you’re visiting Hegra, I cannot recommend Faisal enough. Combined with the breathtaking beauty and history of the site, it was truly a magical journey that I’ll...
