One of the worst ferries I have been in ever.
Started with checkin, no proper information, had to stand in a queue for more than 20 mins in the sun to drop baggage off, then stand in a disorganised queue to get in, again wait for 30 mins.
The boat is tightly packed, with almost zero leg room, and God save you of your brought some luggage, it will be on the narrow aisle next to you. Even 5 feet tall people have their knees touching the seat in front so if you're 6 feet and above then best of luck to you.
Because there are so many people in the cabin, and packed together so tightly, the air conditioning is not enough, or maybe they didn't turn it on, as it was hot as hell and absolutely no ventilation. Add all this and you have people throwing up all around you, which in turn makes you sick as well.....to the point of nearly passing out. Yes it's extremely uncomfortable.
If you have small kids don't even attempt travelling by this boat. They are going to be sick.
Once you get off, wait for the luggage to be thrown out of the boat and scramble amongst other passengers to get your things.
And it's not cheap, so if you're ok to pass out during the ride or feel very uncomfortable, or see and smell lots of your co passengers puke and smell body odour with puke, this is the ride for you....
Read moreThe boat it self is nice and modern, the people were friendly. They were very helpful. But be aware: in July/August the sea can be rough. I was terrified on the way from Mahe to Praslin. My husband and daughter threw up twice like many other people despite taking medicine. We sat inside at the lower level, I do not recommend it. The smell of vomit is bad, the waves crash on to the windows. I found it scary. Our return trip from La Digue - Praslin - Mahe, was a bit less windy but still rough. We sat outside on the upper deck, my daughter was still sick like more people. But it was a bit beter. Fresh air helped. Do not expect a nice calm boat ride this time a year, it is a means to an end to go to the other islands, nothing more. And pay a bit extra to sit at...
Read moreVery very simple pier. Our ride to the Pralin island from Mahe was really easy to book and it arrived on time. However, I want to warn you that the speed of the boat is so fast, that it literally flies over the waves and jumps so high, that most of the people get sick. I was so nauseous that I arrived to Pralin on time but definitely green in color. On the way back I just stayed whole the time on the open deck trying to get fresh air.. I got nauseous anyway. My advice - do prepare. Take the sea sickness pills and you’ll arrive to your destination much better of. The staff was very nice by the way. Very helpful, understanding and .. prepared :) they will distribute the sea sickness bags...
