We had Jules Take Away on our bucket list and tried it as the last take away of our holiday. What a mistake to not go there earlier, more often. This is by far one of the best takeaways of our trip and the best on Mahe. We got a mixed fish and a mixed meat box, since we wanted to try everything. It was so delicious. Nach drei Wochen kulinarischer Erkundungen in zahlreichen Restaurants und Takeaways auf Mahè kann ich mit Überzeugung sagen, dass Jules Takeaway ein wahres Juwel ist. Trotz einer 45-minütigen Fahrt haben wir es jeden Tag auf uns genommen, um dieses herausragende kulinarische Erlebnis zu genießen. Jules bietet täglich mindestens 20 verschiedene Gerichte an, von kreolischer Küche bis hin zu Fish and Chips, Seegurken, Haifischsteak, Thunfischfilet und Jungfischsteak, begleitet von Beilagen wie Brotfrucht und Papaya- und Mangosalaten. Die Portionen sind großzügig bemessen, die Zutaten frisch und saisonal. Die Besitzer sprechen fließend Kreolisch, Englisch, Deutsch und Französisch und nehmen sich die Zeit, Touristen zu beraten.

Ein guter Takeaway ist erkennbar an der Länge der Warteschlange, und dennoch ist man in Jules Takeaway in nur 10 Minuten an der Reihe. Meistens haben wir 2x2 Portionen bestellt: eine, um sie sofort am Strand unserer Route entlang zu genießen, und die andere für den Abend, serviert auf Tellern mit einem Glas Wein zu Hause.
