While driving out of a car park, I accidentally rubbed against the wall and this resulted in my relatively new car suffering a dent with some deep scratches on the rear passenger door. I felt devastated as this is the first time in many years it has happened to me. My first reaction was to check with the Agent on the possibility of having it fixed. I understood it might take them 2 to 3 days and in addition the price they quoted was shocking. This made me look for other options. Browsing through the net I saw there were probably hundreds of options and this only confused me. Accidentally, I found Ace Chrome having many and very good reviews. Drove to the shop and the first impression I got of Mr. Ah Tiong was great. A simple, straight forward and honest person. The price he quoted for very fair and more importantly, he promised to complete the job in one day. I decided to take my chance and left my car with him the next day. Once the job was complete, he promptly called me that evening. I reached the shop with mixed feelings not knowing what to expect. I could not believe my eyes. I had a superb experience with Ace Chrome and Restoration. I had scratched my car in a carpark and it needed panel beating and paintworks. After reading and seeking quotations from multiple recommended options, I decided to go with Ace Chrome as they had many positive reviews on their craft.

Ah Thiong and Carole are very honest and responsive towards WhatApp quotations. They were candid with their feedback and did not at anytime try to up-sell products and services. They saw the works that was required and went about quoting after viewing pictures. I brought my car down and upon inspection of the panels, they confirmed their pricing. I had other requests (chroming of wheels) which they recommended against me doing as the effect would not last. This is a mark of true honesty which made me very comfortable in dealing with them.

The workmanship itself was excellent with a quick turnaround time. From the panel beating to the paint work itself, I was very satisfied with the result. I’ve been sending my car & my wife’s car to Ace for a paint job for some years now. They did a good job for both my Honda Odyssey & my wife’s Honda City. Today I sent my Lexus RX again to Ace due to some scratches to the car. They quoted a good price since they said it involved respraying the entire panel. I said ok.

But after the job was completed, it turned out that the paint job was rather shoddy. Instead of respraying them, I found as if they just touched up the scratched parts with a brush. The colour was different. I could even see a line across the surface very clearly. The surface was also rough & not even. I could not accept it especially for my 7 month old car.I showed it to them & they agreed that the job was badly done & it was their mistake. Fortunately, they offered to have it resprayed. They have to & I had to wait for another 2 hours for it to get done.
