I was shopping at the TAKASHIMAYA branch at 7:45pm on Monday 3rd June.
I approached a fridge at the ice cream section and stood there for just 4 secs and I heard a merchandiser said, "excuse me" quite loudly from behind that startled me. She wanted to push a big trolley to stock items nearby me.
The aisle there is narrow so I don't know where to move to give way to her, so I just hastily walked away.
The main point is that - I was already standing in my own browsing space to consider items to buy. If I still need to give way to the supermarket staff while I am considering items to buy, what kind of shopping can I possibly accomplish ???
Do you like to get shocked and disturbed while you are considering what things to buy?
Is she rushing to push a dying patient into the emergency room for operation ???
Getting interrupted when it is the supermarket's responsibility to not get in the way of customers.
I am familiar that supermarkets usually restock at midnight onwards. Or if they really do need to restock during the day, they will try not to get in the customer's way.
Alternatively, she could have waited for a few more seconds and I would have finished with that section. But maybe she was rushing for time, at my expense.
If I keep getting shocked when I want to buy things, I think I will have to see a psychiatrist to get mind calming pills.
Perhaps I will shop at a classier more thoughtful supermarket instead if your staff thinks that customers are getting in the way.
The thing is that supermarkets are not supposed to get in the way of customers' shopping in the first place. What kind of business who wants to make money actually does this?
Lousy shopping experience at Cold Storage.
Cold Storage is supposed to be classy and thoughtful but not in this case.
So why are you charging higher prices if you cannot provide a better shopping experience?
Apparently your supermarket does not care about the customer, you don't even tell your merchandisers how to behave.
Which is a disappointment.
Because apparently you want to chase away customers and go bankrupt.
I am considering other...
Read moreWe at cold storage takashimaya this evening and was no. 2 in the queue at the ready to eat counter selling roasted items like pork rub, pork knuckles. The staff working there is Catherine Neo.
We waited in the queue for her to slowly pack each of the item in the bag, seal and tag the offered price. The guy in front of us waited too and he told the auntie he wanted 2 prawn roll which she passed him. He also waited for the last slab of pork rib which the auntie passed him. He left thereafter.
As we were next in queue, I asked politely if she could pack the 3 chickens for me first. She was very rude and told "等 等 等“”
So we slowly waited for her to pack the pork belly, sausages, followed by pork char siew, satay, etc.. then when she finally started packing the chicken... by then we had already waited for at least 15 min. she asked me what I want. I said 3 chicken. She packed slowly one into each bag. She only passed us one chicken. Despite us still being in queue, and she knew we wanted 3 chicken, she handed the 2nd chicken to another customer behind us and the last chicken to another customer.
This is terrible. We had waited in queue for 15 mins and this was the treatment. She had purposely handed the chicken to other customers knowing very well we were waiting in queue. Why does she have to do that? Theres's no such policy to restrict customer from buying offered items. The guy in front of us bought the prawn to and whole slab of ribs so why can't we buy 3 chicken?
Catherine Neo neither offered explanation nor apologised. Her service is unacceptable and she is rude, unprofessional and unreasonable.
Btw, when we were leaving, we would hear from customers saying that "she is like that... she just pack on her own time and target and won't bother attending to u.. she will just focus on packing and bo hew".
Very disappointed with such service provided. Cold storage pls look into educating your staff on right customer...
Read moreDropped my feedback directly to Cold Storage on their butchery team at Takashimaya, but no response until now.
It wasnt a pleasant visit at all.
Firstly, was waiting at the butchery section but instead of a simple hi or hello, i was greeted with a Ya.
This ‘Ya’ from the staff were definitely not a gentle, normal tone but a very loud tone and extremely rude.
If you want your staff standing in front of a counter, the basic is a hello and basic customer service no matter he/she is a meat section staff, Packer or manager.
Another case of Cold Storage in need to retrain their frontline staff properly to upkeep the image of Cold Storage is to ensure all your staff handling the cashier area, to first at least a Hi/Hello.
We dont expect a Good Day Sir/Mdm, but at least a hello and not a ‘Member’?
Just one word, Member? when you arrived.
Why not have a proper sentence from your frontline staff : Are you a Member?
Lastly, customers who visits the butchery section, please do check the packed meat at their butchery section where there might be wrong labels pasted. I noticed the minced meat they packed were labeled with a different label.
Kind enough to bring the packs over and wanted to tell them.
All they do is without even saying a thank you or sorry, they just took it...
