I’m sorry but I cannot with good conscience recommend this business. There are other home businesses or neighborhood shops worth your time and money, please go support them instead.
Bad service, unaccommodating, won’t respond unless it affects them. As a customer, you are at mercy and will just have to accommodate THEM and THEIR schedule.
Example #1: I sent repeated texts asking them to confirm my address before I made the payment, I was completely ignored. The minute I told them I just made the payment, they immediately responded, meaning they were there all along but just chose to ignore any texts other than specific things they deemed relevant.
Example #2: when I placed an order, they immediately quoted delivery fee for the farthest area (East), didn’t even bother to ask where you are, not sure why, and they immediately caved when I corrected them.
Interacting with a chatbot would’ve been a more warm and welcoming experience.
Sad that my first exposure to African culture and hospitality was through this business. If I were an African, I would hate this business to represent my culture.
What’s funny though, my friend originally wanted to also place an order but decided not to go through with it after I told her my experience, but the business kept contacting her asking if she was still keen on ordering. My friend decided to ignore them and leave them on read, lol, gave them a taste of their own medicine, but they seemed oblivious to this and just kept texting her.
Anyway, TL;DR: First and definitely the last time patronizing this...
Read moreMy experience with Pham’s Kitchen was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I ordered food for an important corporate event, I had African executives who flew in for site visit. Paid extra for GrabExpress to ensure prompt delivery, and yet this establishment managed to hand my courier the wrong order during PEAK hours. It arrived 2 hours past promised time because they asked the courier to go back to them after my courier was already reaching my office. When they could've sent their own courier if they were truly sorry and trying to make up to me.
The level of carelessness, disorganization, and sheer negligence displayed here is beyond comprehension. What’s worse, when confronted, they hid behind weak excuses about a “helper” making a mistake instead of demonstrating even a shred of accountability or urgency. The complete lack of ownership and professionalism was infuriating.
Because of their incompetence, my guests waited endlessly and eventually left. The food became useless, and the entire event was thrown off schedule. This wasn’t just disappointing, it was embarrassing, stressful, and unacceptable.
Pham’s Kitchen operates with the efficiency of chaos and the attitude of a business that simply does not care. If you value your time, money, and sanity, avoid this place at all costs. Their service is a masterclass in how to alienate and infuriate...
Read moreFirst time having African food from here and it was fantastic. Ordered Jollof rice, egusi soup and pepper goat
Delivery-wise they arrived slightly earlier than expected at around 6.15 when they said they would arrive between 6.30 and 8.30 which was fine since we were all at home.
The jollof rice was wonderfully spiced with a rich tomato base and the juicy chicken absorbed that jollof flavour well. Skin was exceptional.
Egusi soup was like a savoury fish stew and it was a perfect pairing with the futu. Fufu was soft, fluffy and felt like a giant bao. The fufu is much bigger than you think so if you just want to try it, ordering one fufu would be adequate
The pepper goat was spicy and tender. Though do note that it's really spicy, if you don't have good spice tolerance you may want a glass of milk with this.
Overall strongly recommend trying it and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to enjoy such a lovely melody of well...
