Was there with my spouse on thursday evening.
Inflexbility: My wife was recovering from a cough and she can only drink hot/warm water. Hence, we have been going everywhere with her thermal flask of hot/warm water. When explained my wife condition to the server, they insisted that my wife cannot drink from the thermal flask and had to leave the thermal flask at the front desk as their policy is no outside food and drinks. The server then insisted we order their bottle water at room temperature. We understand the policy but is there really a need to earn that bottle of water at the expense of your customer discomfort? It is not like we are not spending at the venue or we are trying to fake a scenario, just for a bottle of water. So this is already the first experience we got, sitting down for less than a minute at the venue.
Food: We wanted to give the Pork Lover pizza a try as we love luncheon meat. Came to be a disappointment. The luncheon meat was not nicely pan fried before adding onto the pizza. It tasted like it was either applied to the pizza, straight out from the can, or it tasted like steam luncheon meat on the pizza. We wanted to order their Sichuan Chilli Chicken but we overheard next table guest giving feedback to the server that the chicken was not crispy at all. So we skipped there. Truffle fries was alright.
Sound: This was the most terrible experience of all, the entire night. When the live band is performing, the sound volume within the "not huge" venue is sooooo loud that it is "ear-piercing" pain to my ears. I had to cover one side of my ears as it was so terribly loud. And whenever the singer go higher pitch or raised their volume, it is like someone shouting right straight to my ears. The audio tech should tuning the audio throughout the performance but I felt that he did not achieve this objective as the volume was tremendously loud. It does not buffer any room for the singer to raise their volume or when the singer wants to go for higher pitch. The genre of this venue is for guests to go and enjoy some songs but I don't even get to listen properly at a comfortable level. Not service oriented, bad audio management. Overall, a very bad experience.
Will I go back again? Nope, there are better...
Read moreDear SimplyLive Team,
I have been a regular and loyal customer at SimplyLive, and have always appreciated the experience and service.
However, I would like to share my disappointment regarding an incident that occurred tonight, which left us deeply upset.
We were there to celebrate a friend’s birthday — he is also a SimplyLive member. We ordered a generous amount of food and drinks as part of the celebration. When it was time to settle the bill, I quickly made my way to the cashier intending to pay for my friend as a birthday treat.
To my surprise, the staff at the counter informed me — rather abruptly — that the bill must be paid using the birthday person's credit card. I initially thought this was to verify his membership, so I returned to the table to bring him over. When we both arrived at the cashier, I explained that I still wished to make the payment using my own card.
At that point, the staff member dismissed my request and, in a rather rude tone, told us, “If you want to use your card, then you all don't get the point lor.”
We found this response not only unprofessional but also unnecessarily dismissive. It left us confused and embarrassed in what was supposed to be a joyful celebration.
If this payment policy — where only the member must use their own card to pay — is indeed standard at SimplyLive, I would respectfully suggest that it be reviewed. Many patrons may wish to treat their friends or family members on special occasions, and such a policy can come across as rigid and inconsiderate.
Additionally, I hope you will take steps to ensure that your frontline staff are better trained in customer service. Even when enforcing a policy, there is always room for polite and respectful communication.
Thank you for taking the time to read this feedback. I hope it will be taken constructively, and I look forward to continued positive experiences at SimplyLive in the future.

Read moreI had a fantastic time at the live band event I attended on Friday night. They played mandopop songs!
The live band performance was outstanding, creating an electrifying atmosphere that truly entertained the audience.
The variety and quality of the food were impressive, with an ever-changing menu. In this latest menu, I particularly enjoyed the crispy tofu with top shell – a delightful treat. The prices for the food were reasonable, adding to the overall positive experience.
One of the aspects I appreciated was the absence of any pressure to constantly refill your cups – a refreshing change from some other venues.
The music was exceptional, and the full house effect added to the vibrant ambiance of the evening.
I loved the fact that they played three sets on Fridays and Saturdays, making sure there's plenty of music to enjoy. It was also not too loud and noisy before the band starts. It allows for some conversation while I am having my dinner!
A highlight of my evening was when, during the second set last Friday, they started displaying lyrics – a really cool addition that enhanced the enjoyment of the performance.
It's worth noting that if you're planning to attend on a Friday or Saturday, it's advisable to plan ahead as these nights are consistently fully booked due to the popularity of the venue.
Overall, I had an amazing time, and I highly recommend this place for a fun-filled and memorable evening out. I...
