This is the worst facial experience with the worst up-selling therapist ever. I was totally on-time for my facial appointment and informed the therapist upfront that I will need to leave by 5.30pm. The therapist spent a total of more than 20minutes trying to upsell me more than 4 different types of trial and promotion during the entire facial session, and I notice that an hour has passed and we are less than halfway through the session - and she was still trying to upsell. She finally convinced me to purchase 2 sets of ampoules and I clearly asked if the treatment can be done by 5.30pm even with the ampoule addition and she gave me a definite yes. After applying the ampoule, she ask if it is ok to be "a little little bit late". I would not have gone for the ampule addition if I had know the process will be delayed and I trusted her when she surely told me there will be no delay. It is so unethical and dishonest to suddenly say there will be a delay AFTER applying the ampoule. There should be a face mask (which typically takes 20minutes or more) plus massage after ampule but it was 5.33pm when ampoule is removed. I told the therapist I have to leave when I saw the time after removing the ampoule but she suggested putting on the face mask n she will do the massage then immediately remove the mask. By 5.50pm the mask was still on my face and I just had to stand up and insist I have to leave. Guess what is the first thing I encounter at the reception - a staff asking for payment for the ampoule I topped up - which they hard sell to me and lying that the ampoule will not delay the treatment time and i can leave 5.30pm. i was already very late and did not have time to argue. The team at the reception attended to her client straightaway as soon as I entered the premises. After exchanging greetings, I was escorted to my therapist room immediately, no time wasted (and I was 15mins early, shame on JP Branch!). Therapist Cindy came right away although it was still her break time. (It was a complete contrast to what had transpired in my last visit in July 10 at the JP branch (It was a NO SHOW by the therapist, and her team gladly saw me away! On the 3rd feedback publicly then had the Mgmt responded, addressing the matter will be brought to the branch Manager's attention, I have not heard back from anyone since.) Back to the current. The session at Wheelock was perfect. It was such a therapeutic session administered by Therapist Cindy. She gives one a headsup before the next step/application, to keep us abreast of what to expect. And she is so detail, pointing to the flaws and addressing it. It was indeed a great session. A week after the session today, I am in awe of my skin's appearance, without make-up, and the husband too was in praises. But after I changed cloth and all preparation is completed for the facial, the agent told me my skin is irritated and recommend me to purchase one more facial for this time. But how improper the complementary facial is? She can't tell clearly but just keep emphasising the other one is better for my skin and recommended me to purchase. After realizing anyhow I won't buy, she turned her statement to this complementary facial might irritate my skin more and I need to take all responsibility if I insist to continue. I roughly understand its function is more to hydrate, so don't think it'll be as severe as she said. During the treatment, somehow I sense she massage me not as soft as before. Unluckily, my face indeed becomes more red after the facial and I wanted to know what products they used that might cause this, no one replays although It's seen. The entire experience shows me their good services only offer to whoever can continue consume more. I don't think it's a proper manner for a professional agency who really care about improving their customers skin...
