My husband ordered the bentos for me as I am watching my blood sugar (not diabetic). He ordered the Low GI meal plan for me. I understand Low GI has certain restrictions, but what I see are not “meals”, no, they are just “cooked food”. The first batch of bentos I received are really ZERO EFFORT; for the carb portion, they have the audacity to serve just plain boiled unseasoned pasta. And for most of the bentos, the veg portion is disgusting; they only boil the veg, and drizzle this vinegar-like dressing, which literally taste/smell like garbage (I’m not kidding). For others, it’s just plain boiled veg, NO SEASONING. So I paid almost $15 per meal, just so you can serve me cut up food that are boiled? If that’s the case I would’ve cooked myself? Totally no thoughts put into the food, no proper seasoning, nothing. Complained to them, customer service person is nice, told me that the next batch of meals they will put in more flavours, and claimed that previously the meals are like that is because it’s meant for diabetic (they only mentioned Low GI in their website, they did not say “diabetic meals”, but even if the meals were meant for diabetic people, there are still many ways to make food taste good without excessive sugar/carbs). So today I received the second batch, and attached is the photo of one of the bento. Thank you for boiling the sweet potato, peeling it, and cutting it into smaller chunks for my convenience, for that I’m paying $15 ? Really zero effort. Food quality and safety standards are non existent. Found moldy strawberries in my food immediately upon receipt. Took me one entire week to get a hold of customer service to get my reimbursement.
Staff don't pay attention to food allergies. I have an allergy to bell peppers and it was ignored. Found bell peppers in my food and could not consume it. Contacted customer service and to date still no response after over a month.
Customer service is impossible to get a hold of and really just a waste of my time trying to get to them.
On top of that, the sauces are incredibly unhealthy and the ingredients used are of lousy quality and never fresh. I can get better at any supermarket. What's the point of next day delivery if your food is delivered stale anyway?
Website is incredibly hard to operate and lags a lot. Difficult to navigate and honestly just poorly done. Menu info is also not up to date. App is completely useless because nothing loads properly. Which is incredibly appalling considering it's 2023.
Unfortunately I made the dumb decision of buying 100 credits ( spending $1k)

they didn’t include cauliflower veg to one of the bento I ordered. ( service recovery made by sending a fruit cup )
they gave me the wrong sauce for the Joker HK Bento, customer service mention that I will be given complimentary muffins as service recovery.
It has been so many orders that was delivered to my place and I have not receive any muffins despite informing. I pm the chat bot again but to no avail even when my message was seen. I want to make it clear that I did not ask or demand and I appreciate that CS wants to do a recovery but please don’t say it without honouring to it.
