The only thing you must be prepared for is parking is a nightmare, traffic always, people everywhere, crazy busy place.
Tips: NEVER go end of the month. Try go during the week if at all possible. But if you can only go on weekend, get there early, before 8 am.
Try not carry a bag & don't put cellphones, keys or wallets in pockets.
There are toilets, just bring sanitizer, not always soap.
Try go in a group as the prices of most items are a lot cheaper if you buy 10 or more items, plus you can also bargain. E.g. if you want suits, find 3 or 4 friends that also want suits, then you could pay R500 a suit instead of R700.

Even the restaurant/ food court has had a face lift. Some old favourites have left and new, fresh stores have taken their place. If you wanted something not oriental to eat, there is now local cuisine available too.
My favourite part was that I could walk through the store aisles comfortably now. Perhaps this is a new policy and I'm loving it! Definitely a plus for those in wheelchairs or with infants...
