Such an inspiring and beautiful walk around the nature reserve. Plenty of seals barking down on the shoreline and rocks below! They have a nice life!! May even get to see a shark swimming below in the ocean from the top of the trail if you get lucky!! Did the 9.4 kilometer route, all the way across the sand dune and back onto the trail on the other side. I believe the shorter walk is where you turn right at the start of the sand dune and head downward toward the seashore. The walk takes you all the way around and over a scamper of rocks which you need to traverse in order to get to the other side of Robberg. Then the trail takes you back but with plenty to see and explore on this side! Eventually pass by the hut 🏠 or cottage, then head toward the island along the beach, heading upwards along the path taking you around the island and passing through the seagulls. Head back along the beach and towards the car park, with a nice little climb to...

Well, if you're game go and tell...
Read moreGreat 4 hour hike (6 hours if you stop a lot for photographs like we did). We got to see and hear the Cape fur seals and learn about them from the information boards, we saw some dolphins (even though it was out of season — April), and were stalked by a colony of dassies (rock rabbit). I would definitely recommend bringing binoculars for the seals, and snacks for a break either at the point or at the beach stretching from sea to sea. The walk itself is so scenic and tranquil and the beach beautiful and exclusive. We went between 12 and 6 and it was truly an...
