We decided to take a break away from home, take mom and pack the kids and just go experience something different. We arrived to the friendliest greetings and hugs from the best hosts Lorette & William and kids. We were given a tour of the glamping accommodation and the gorgeous new Self Catering suite and WOW, it is truly stunning! This place lives up to it's name, you are surrounded by wildlife, a bird watchers paradise. We watched Knysna Loeries ( The Knysna turaco) hoping from branch to branch and calling to it's partner. We arrived in Wilderness late one night and were desperately looking for a place to camp and it was raining cats and dogs, grabbed google and stumbled upon THE WILD, phoned and Lori took our call, she explained she did not expect clients so the place is not up to her standard, we explained we are campers and are used to camping. We arrived at THE WILD, Lori was there to meet us in the rain and William was there to bring dry wood, we are not glampers but this place is amazing, private, quiet, in the corner next to the lake with very little traffic or people around and lots to do in the area such as hiking, eating out and exploring, amazing hosts with ideas where to go...

We stayed in the apartment. All good, clean, nicely decorated, large, comfortable and with magnificent views of the garden. The hostess is charming and helped us in everything we needed. It is below the hosts' house and is not very well soundproofed. You can hear people walking on the upper floor. Netflix did not work, there was no shower gel and some other things. We informed the hosts and they fixed it, but I think they should be more careful with those details in order to give them five stars. The place is far...
