I was at this store this morning…mushrooms were placed at outside with a price written 2 for 10…took them and went on to do my shopping….at the till I was told that they are 50 for 3 …refused to pay that price and then they called a person they said it’s a manager….explained the whole story and they told me it was a price for something else but mushrooms were still packed there and prices were still gonna be changed. I insisted to pay the price I see as per the consumer rights….An unidentified person whom later told me that he is Jerome said I can’t….i went on to ask why he doesn’t have a name tag yet the ladies at the till are identified by their name tags….the was no answer….asked for a manager and I was told he wasn’t there will be coming later….they told me his name is Lyon.
I am very unhappy of the service that am getting from this place…. The standard is going down and customer care is close to nothing. In January I bought sweet corn and it was sour and I had to return it back for an exchange and even today the sweet corn was sour and and the so callled supervisor was insisting that it’s not sour….
There was no apology or whatsoever given to me about this all was said to me was that this is what is going to...
Read moreI do not like noise... And going there was painful, hurt my ears with the loud music blaring away... Forcing that rubbish apon customers. Inside is a tight fit. More filthy flies a minute than humans in a day. Biltong, had blue and green shells of dead flies on it. Baked goods left open covered in flies.
Sorry... I have never been back again. Prices at Checkers for the most part are the same.
For people who don't mind consuming flie larvae and filth, it is a great option.
Needed belp 3 times in one visit... Got no help. Staff for most part are more busy with their own things.
One male at fruit, packing was downright rude.
So no... Sorry. Fruit and Veg days are sorely missed.. Although, the flies issue still remain.
Keep things closed perhaps.
Prices are not as it was either... You save only on R10 days which has changed as well.. And what you buy for that price, is sometimes very close to spoilt.
What happened to leavy greens?
Sorry... I do not shop there anymore.
When owners seem to loose interest, customers soon follow suit.
And now... Even if you recover, rectify, fix.... I would never know. Moral of my story... A lost customer... Is the same as a dead...
Read moreVery convenient location and a wide variety of fruit and veg but that's about it. Stock is almost always sold out due to the store being the only one of its kind in malvern and having to service tons of people. This leads me to the main reason I scored so low. The store itself is squashed, and there's not much place to move with a trolley in the store. The layout while well thought out (like the frozen dairy and fresh breads and baked goods being closer to the tills for checkout) would have been better if there was more space between the aisle. The baked goods area itself always has flies happily sitting on the goods. The till points are frustrating. The farthest till on the right has barely no room for a trolley, and the owners have decided that shoving a cold drink refrigerator directly across from it is the perfect location. On top of that, they expect two trolleys to fit in half a meter space while passing. @management we love having this store so close to us. It's convenient, but it takes more than a building and throwing some products together to create a good...
