Another hanok Anglican church located in Onsu-ri near Jeondeungsa Temple. Better go early, coz on the weekend, you almost cant avoid the traffic jam. Here you can see both past and present, hanoek style church and modern church. This old church was built in 1906, when Catholics were given freedom of mission after 100 years of persecution. Ganghwa Island was a place where there was no church at a due to historical alienation and pressure, it was identified as a priority area for spreading the gospel. Now this old building is preserved to hold worship services but a modern church is built just next to it. Religious freedom has now become common but I couldn't help to think about how hard for the priests to preach under restraint...
