Kitty and I had a wonderful time at Saebyeol Hey-Yo Ranch! It's a charming and well-maintained ranch located on Jeju Island. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the friendly staff and the adorable animal sculptures. The main building with its log cabin style has a welcoming and rustic feel, and the colourful painted area in front adds a touch of whimsy.
Kitty, who was already smitten with a similar farm cafe we visited earlier in our Jeju trip, was so excited to visit this ranch that we even decided to swap out a massage session (which we found a bit expensive in Korea) for another day at the ranch. She really loves interacting with the animals, and it was worth it to see her so happy.
We were particularly excited by the opportunity to interact with the animals. Kitty was thrilled to be able to get close to the alpacas, donkeys, pigs, goats, ducks, and even the foxes. It was her first time seeing a donkey in real life, and she loved it
We didn't purchase any feed for the animals, but we enjoyed watching others interact with them. We saw kids excitedly feeding the animals and making new furry friends, and it was heartwarming to watch. We also enjoyed watching a man play Frisbee with his dog, showing off the dog's amazing fetching skills.
The highlight of our visit was the alpaca enclosure. Kitty spent a good amount of time watching them graze and playing with them. The ranch has done a wonderful job creating a safe and welcoming environment for both animals and visitors.
We found the ranch to be very interactive and engaging, especially in the cool weather. The price was also very reasonable, and we would highly recommend this place to any animal lovers.
There is a gift shop on the premises, where you can find souvenirs and goodies. However, there isn't a cafe on the ranch. So if you'd like a coffee or snack break, you can easily find a...

Kept in the smallest, most boring cages far from their natural world and away from their natural rhythm. Puppies and baby alpacas were exhausted because of lack of sleep and from being picked up all the time. Stressed rodents not being able to sleep and in full panic mode, a skink looking more dead than alive in a tiny box with dirty water, 2 monkeys in the saddest space you can imagine, and all the animals in small spaces or on a leash bot being able to move freely. Donkeys, horses, dogs, foxes (!!), birds, just everything I felt was so sad. There is so much space and just really bad decisions have been made here. This is pure animal cruelty. Iโm sure some of the caregivers love the animals but this should be stopped. Baby alpacas shouldnโt be dressed up in motorbike jackets for the photo and be refused to perform their natural behavior. Same for the other animals who will just die out of stress. Please share your feedback to the owner and the community if you agree. I hope this farm will change and let the animals live a natural and happy live...
ย ย ย Read moreWe went today on a Sunday and it was pretty packed with different groups of people, couples, friends and families. Itโs like a petting zoo, you can feed the animals at a cost, but we noticed that the animals fur were matted, that guests were terrorising the animals by chasing them thinking itโs all fun and games when the animals run away from them. They also have dogs that you can bring on walks and we personally witnessed a couple and the guy who was holding onto the leash of the black shiba pull the leash so high up the dog was lifted from the ground and it momentarily went into a seizure position when it was on the floor. Just donโt think that if you love animals you would want to go to a place like that and watch how ignorant people and staff treat the animals.
If this place were to improve, they should employ more staff at each station and only allow guests to interact with the animals if the staff themselves can monitor and PRIORITISE THE WELFARE OF...
