UPDATE: I have received the refund. Initially only on the terms of deleting this negative review which I will not as this is the truth. Photos attached with the whole conversation about this issue and its resolution. Scam!!! I booked online a trip from Caminha to A guarda for May 25th at 10:30 but the boat never came. It was already 1PM and still nowhere to be seen. I heard that they will be even more late so I decided to take the taxi-boat of Popeye which is 3 minutes walk far from this at 6 euros. This not only happened to me but to 15 other people who were waiting for the “ferry” to come which in reality there is no ferry as they stipulate in the title, this is a normal boat just like all the other taxi-boat companies. Another lie that they are claiming in the email is that competitive companies are illegal. In fact, this is farther from the truth, all local taxi-boat operators are legally required to provide their services, the only exception is that they do no have permission to use the port in A Guarda so there is just a 5 minutes trip to the other side. I emailed so many times this company for a refund but they never replied back. Just use other taxi-boat services provided by the locals which are safer, cheaper and easier than this one.

Amazing little ferry Crossing, even operated during torrential rain and hurricane force wins. Despite the rough conditions we felt quite safe and the manhandling the boat seem very experience. We were very pleased to use the service and happy that it was operating on the day where the weather was less than perfect.

They sent me a text in the morning, telling me to call if they are not around, also warning me against unofficial operations. They where nowhere to be seen when we got there, I tried calling twice, but no one answered, after half an hour waiting with no information whatsoever we found an alternative 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m glad I didn’t pay in advance like some other customers who also waited with no information. This might just be a momentary experience, but if you call yourself official, please also...

I bought a ticket on line. When I arrived, I was told that “Popeyes” was going to be the service today. I must go to their location. I do not speak Portuguese. The person did not speak English. So the directions made no sense to me. After a half hour of frustrating search I went to the Taxi service that was next door and easy to see and get a ticket to cross. I’m ripped off for the 6 Euros but made it to Spain. I guess Im just not smart enough to use...
