It was a great experience, unexpectedly great even, meaning we did all that it was advertised and a lot more. Dan is really a good vibe kind of person, like a surfer should be:) None the less, he is very meticulous and we felt very safe with him: he advised us to postpone for the next day the kayaking as it was a bit of a wind and he made a very rigorous training with us before exiting into the sea. He even gave us some equipment, beside the compulsory one(life-vest and kayaks). With the kayak was wonderful: we saw lots of dolphins and I even swum with a sea turtle and got to touch it - one of my best experiences so far. This kayaking and snorkeling experience was definitely the highlight of our trip. These guides are passionate, knowledgeable, friendly and well prepared. You can really tell just how much they love what they do, how deeply they respect the environment they are in and how much they want to share all of that excitement with you! We had a lovely quiet morning out on the water but no dolphins right away so another guide from the company came out on a paddleboard to help us spot them and DID WE EVER! We ended up paddling around with a group of dolphins and then all of a sudden an entire pod of hundreds was all around us. Just magical and the guides were filming the whole time so we could really be present and enjoy the experience. We snorkelled with the turtles and then paddled some more and I felt completely taken care of the whole time. These guys really go above and beyond and had everything we needed just in case we forgot. We even got cookies and local platanas for snacks out on the water! What a great adventure... Dan is one of the last true explorers, a gifted coach and wonderful human being. He must have visited every inch of the island as it's clear that he knows the best places.

We went for the kayaking experience and saw large sea turtles, catfish as well as dolphins and we swimmed with them.

Dan also organizes hiking trips up Teide mountain, above the clouds, where you can see all the stars in the Milky Way, crystal clear, as well as the surrounding natural beauty of the volcanoes and the forrest, which is really unique to the island.

If you are lucky, like we were, you might want to ask Dan about mountain biking trips he organizes with electrically assisted (rentable) bikes. We did a 40 km trip around Teide which was truly amazing and the electric assist from the bikes when going up hills is simply heavenly. This is not for everyone though, you have to be an experienced rider... but if you are... you simply can't miss this.
