We recently returned from spending a short four day honeymoon at DDG, in the Maharaja suite. Wow! Its hard to sum up how perfect our stay was. Upon arrival we were met by Olga, with a couple of refreshingly cool towels and the nicest freshly squeezed cold jug of Orange juice I can ever remember having... Olga showed us around the complex and then to our tent, if you can call it a tent... It was more like a room inside a palace! Marble floors, Air con, fully stocked chiller with cans & bottles & the best full body shower I've experienced! The outside space is just as magical. The terrace has a plunge pool to cool off, a shower & bath along with a space to barbeque & sit out under the stars to enjoy a delicious meal. The first night we had salad with a couple of barbequed pork kebabs & giant steaks, whilst chilling out to the most amazing views of a sunset, with a bottle of bubbly in an ice bucket, before enjoying a perfectly clear starry night sky. It was so romantic. We spent most of the next day sun bathing, swimming & relaxing by the beautiful infinity pool in total privacy. I made use of the good range of gym equipment there too, before being served a light lunch platter in our suite. They describe it as a light lunch, but it lasted us two days:). It was a mixed platter of Spanish meats with bread, olives, balsamic vinegar & olive oil, & it was delicious! Then more sun bathing on our own terrace, which gets really hot in the early afternoon, so thank god for the plunge pool! That evening we decided to venture out of the retreat for the first time & Olga was more than happy to book us a table & recommend some places to eat or visit. We settled on Estepona which is less than a 30 minute drive & has a ton of different beach front restaurants to choose from. The following morning, we were served THE most amazing breakfast. More delicious orange juice, with tea & cava. Granola, followed by French toast with maple syrup, followed by the fluffiest chilli & cheese omelette whilst sitting in the sun with some mellow background music. Headed out to Ronda which was another one of Olgas recommendations. Beautiful historic town with views & a bridge with restaurants over looking a deep gorge. To sum it up, the retreat offers the ultimate in paradise, peace & tranquillity, with hosts that are warm, helpful & welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for Daria, Olga & co. In the 4 days we stayed, we ran into one other guest briefly getting into is car, & this accordingly to Olga was them being fully booked! My only complaint is we needed more time.. I had to be back at work, but we will most definitely be returning before too long. Thank you for making our honeymoon so...

The stylish, air-conditioned room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and equipped with all the modern amenities needed for a romantic getaway, offering stunning views that we couldn't get enough of.
One of the highlights of our stay was the infinity pool, which provided panoramic views of the countryside. Read moreWow! DDG retreat is the perfect place for a honeymoon or trip away with your love. It’s so dreamy and romantic. It’s very private, secluded and peaceful. The moment you arrive you feel lulled into a blissful sense of relaxation. The nature surrounding the retreat is incredible - up in the hills you are surrounded by huge pine trees with birds of prey swooping in the sky above. It’s so quiet with only the sounds of nature as company. Pretty oleander and bougainvillea flowers and palm trees lined the gardens of our beautiful villa. The landscaping of our villa with private plunge pool, outside chill out bed, day beds for reading, outdoor bathtub and outdoor shower and terrace with bbq grill was just perfect! Inside the villa is a huge king size bed which was super comfy. There is a walk in closet area which was fantastic for storing everything out of the way. Daria is an incredible hostess, she is so warm, kind and helpful. She helped us so much by recommending and booking restaurants for us. Overall she’s a simply fabulous human! We will certainly...
