I initially visited Toledo in the summer of 2023 and ordered a reproduction of the Cortes sword from another shop that is located in the town center. Unfortunately, they never delivered it. I still wanted a piece of history from a Toledo sword maker so I ordered in mid August from EspadasdeToledo. Using WhatApp chat, I was taken through the entire order process and paid online using Paypal. I received the sword few days ago in mid October in the USA. It looks amazing. There is one slight imperfection which makes sense of for hand made product which just makes it so much more unique. The only thing I was surprised was that the blade is not sharpened.

Definitely recommend ordering from them. I may get more stuff...

Por supuesto, a la altura de lo esperado. Les pedí un par de armas, una espada ropera de cazoleta y una daga de mano izquierda o vizcaína. A ésta última les pedí que le hicieran un diseño en la guarda semejante al de la espada, para conseguir así un acabado homogéneo. Me las enviaron a casa antes de lo esperado, y se lo pude enseñar a unos parientes que estaban de visita desde el extranjero antes de que marcharan. Llegó justo a tiempo. El mejor autorregalo de cumpleaños que me hubiera podido hacer. Muy recomendable. Tenemos que impedir que estos antiguos oficios artesanales de nuestro país no se pierdan en el olvido. El mejor acero de Toledo por encima del mejor acero samurái, como se demostró entre otras instancias en la batalla de Cagayán, donde los tercios vencieron a los samurái, los únicos soldados occidentales que se midieron con ellos.
