Our winter cascade photo odyssey continued with a trip to this waterfall that may carry lots of water after a major rainfall or when the snow in the Jura mountains has started to melt. If you want to shoot it from below you have to negotiate a narrow and muddy or icy trail so put on a pair of sturdy Wellingtons. I was all by myself this last day of January and managed to get down and back up without slipping or falling into the stream. And when you have finished your visit, why not go to nearby RomainmĂŽtier and visit the...

The enchanting Dard waterfall just a couple minutes away from charming Croy village. You can also reach this refreshing place by hiking from La Sarraz and on the way enjoy another fairytale like water (La Tine de Conflens). The waterfall is quite noisy, muddy and there's a refreshing mist so I wouldn't recommend picnicking right on the bottom of it, but rather a few minutes down the stream along the...
