Stoos SZ — Local services in Morschach

Arrive at the base gondola station to find an old station closed with hand written sign in German. Even local Swiss cars were riding around trying to find a parking spot or any information on where the new gondola is. After wasting 20 minutes I have learned that new station is up the twisty road in 400 meters. All parking spots were taken. Unsure what to expect from skiing and mountain conditions I turned around and went to other local ski-mountain. Judging by the pictures of Stoos it is hardly worth all the trouble & inconvenience for the size of the mountains and terrain they offer to skiers. I highly doubt I will...

This place is super amazing! It has world steepest train which takes you to stoos and from there you can reach to klingenstock in cable car and then you can do a 4 km hiking to fronalpstock and get down again in cable car. This hiking trail has lot of breath taking views and it has also got photo spots where you can click best pictures of yourself or of the mountains or even Cows. Nice well organized and comfortable lift. This is a gate to Stoos and beautiful hike to Fronalstock and Klingenstock. Amazing Swiss nature is around you. Very easy for walks and chill out. Nice family place with typical Swiss restaurants around. I recommend to try this train as it is the steepest track in the world. I ride is not long, but it will reward you with magnificent views.
