I recently visited Mwenge Market, and itโ€™s a vibrant and busy place with a lot to offer. โœ… Highlights: Location: Centrally located in Kibondeni, near key landmarks like Makongo JKT, KMC Complex, Mwenge TRA, Kilimanjaro Institute of Technology, and Mwenge Bus Stand, making it easily accessible for both locals and visitors. Variety of Goods: The market is well-known for selling a wide range of items, including fresh produce, household items, clothing, electronics, and handcrafted goods like carvings and souvenirs. Affordable Prices: Items are generally affordable, and you can even bargain to get better deals. Vibrant Atmosphere: The market is lively, with friendly vendors and a local vibe that makes shopping a pleasant experience. ๐Ÿ“ Tips: Parking can be a bit challenging during peak hours, so plan accordingly. Be cautious with your belongings, as the area can get crowded. Overall, Mwenge Market is a must-visit for anyone looking for an authentic shopping experience in Dar es Salaam. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars for its variety, affordability, and central location.

Living at MbeziJuu,... Mwenge is my 'Kariakoo', you don't have to go far to do your cloth wear shopping. You can get, the jeans, T-shirt and all the wear children need at affordable price. And when you can also take the pleasure a fresh sip from the 'madafu' fresh coconut juice ๐Ÿ˜Š

Mambo Gosh you guys have no idea how much I miss dar. Must say if you learn to love there then it's easy for you to understand this market otherwise you just a user lol. Usually foreigners love to go here cause everything you see here is all handmade. When they see muzungu means white they charge you with triple the price. When they know you know Swahili then you get the deal. The deal is bargain. If they see you and demand 80.000tsh for the painting then be smart and talk for 30.000 or just move out. This how it works. When they said its 5.000tsh I paid only 2.000tsh. So be careful don't get ripped. They see your new to town they raise up price like hell. Honestly I can't afford to pay 80.000 or even a laki moja for those paintings cause that's a bit too much. I rather rent a small room. Enjoy shopping just be careful. And be even more careful with ppl at the signal they can just walk your bag and belongings while you sitting in a bajaj or in a car with the window glass down lol. Ppl come on Boda Boda And steal it from you. One more danger thing is Boda Boda pls be safe it's k to spent a 500tsh extra and go by a bajaj then to risk your life on a Boda Boda. I used uber always very reasonable and they gave me good deals on uber since I travelled frequently. The best way to travel is uber if you ask me cause I spent most of my life there...

It is a wonderful market. I think it is very difficult for all the traders as so very few tourists come there. One should think about ways to do more marketing. I went there twice, once during a city market tour and then privatly to see by one booth - to meet a taylor. Please go there, you will not be disappointed. Don't be discouraged by so many traders who want to sell you something. Enjoy the handycraft and take your time to find what you...
