We enjoyed our 4 day 3 night safari bliss from Zanzibar to nyere with Plex Africa. Everything was very well organised- we had no huge issues. Initially arrived at collection point for 4am pick up and our driver was not there. Fortunately another driver was waiting to pick up his clients and was able to call Plex as we could not use our phones. Turns out our driver picked up the wrong people, so this other driver kindly took us. Edward replied very quickly when I said our driver hadn’t arrived at 0415. We didn’t miss our flight luckily. The only real issues other than a technical issue with our plane meaning we were a few hours late arriving and so our full day game drive was cut short. But this is not Plex Africa’s fault. Our guide Joseph was friendly and nice. Knowledgeable and helped us see lots of animals. The lodge was nice. The village tour wasn’t great for us personally. We did not know a tour to the primary school was included and that people bring gifts for the children. If we knew this we would have enjoyed it I’m sure. The walking safari we didn’t see any animals but was interesting anyway. The only day k would change was the last day. We finished at the Masai boma by 9:45. We then weren’t being picked up till 5pm and had to check out of our rooms by 1400pm. Our itinerary said we’d be leaving at midday and it was not communicated to us that it was not going to be until the evening. If we knew we would have bought some thing to do as it was very boring sat in reception in the heat for hours. Overall I would use Plex again- but only For game drives. The Masai boma was interesting. But I’d give the walking safari and village...
Plex Africa Safari organized everything as comfortably as possible and, most importantly for me, clearly and without failures. At the highest level. We were met by a taxi driver, who handed us over to an airline employee and left only when he was sure that everything was in order. At the airport, we were met by a wonderful Jafari guide and a Manemo driver - we didn't have to look for anyone (as was the case with other companies!). It was a comfortable car and it was well maintained, the ride was soft and there were no breakdowns, and on the roads of the park we repeatedly encountered braked cars from other companies. Now about the safari itself. Manemo is the god of roads and cars. He managed to drive where it seemed possible only to fly. And the driving was very pleasant: despite the fact that it was off-road, no one was seasick and it was comfortable, as if we were driving on the highway. And Jafari is a wonderful, wonderful, kind, very hardworking and erudite guide. When he realized that I was interested in photographing birds, he always tried to find and show me something new, to get closer. And if he couldn't, he always had a phone at hand with photos from different angles. He knows a lot about animals and their habits. An interesting conversationalist and a great guide. Speaks excellent English. I really liked the park itself. Yes, it is difficult to compare with the Serengeti, the Nyerere NP is more secluded and calm. But it was so interesting to look for animals here, you get excited about who will be the first to notice what. And a walk with a bushman (rather with a showman =) did not leave even me indifferent, although I usually do not really like such performances. But the comrade knew a lot and talked about everything very artistically and showed it. A river safari with a sunrise and sunset meeting is a great way to watch the hippos and take a break from car safari, reboot. In general, I can recommend Edward as a wonderful manager who can organize a first-class and, most importantly, trouble-free safari, and Jafari and Manemo as the coolest team to...
Read moreWow! From start to finish Plex took care of everything from Pick up on Zanzibar to two FULL days of Safari. We flew out early AM and went directly to the park- our guides Omari and Abduili were AMAZING! They Shared so much information about the animals and were truly great hosts our whole safari. Our vehicle was very comfortable and our driver navigated the bumpy roads with ease. After breakfast and lunch we went back to Camp for a short break, the safari lodge was perfect and the staff were so nice- the food was great as well. We went out for a night game drive and were the only ones in the park! It was a totally different experience from the daytime! The next morning we did a boat safari, we only saw crocs and hippos but it was still nice to do other than a game drive. We also went to a local village where our guide Omari lived and learned SO MUCH about the local culture it was one of the highlights for us. We then visited the Massai village which again was interesting and unique. When it was time to go, we flew out of the same airstrip right back to -Zanzibar! Totally seamless and truly a wonderful experience- cannot say enough great things about Plex Safaris! Great value for an...
