My wife and I chose Zanzibar for our honeymoon. As with most trips to a new place, there is a nervous aura. Salum’s calming energy and professionalness warmed our hearts immediately. My wife and I spent our 1st Day in Zanzibar with Salum. He met us directly outside our hotel for our tour. During the tour, we walked and talked for hours about the rich beautiful history and culture of Stone Town. He then procured a local fisherman and his boat to take us to Prison Island. There, he further displayed his wealth of knowledge expounding on Prison Island’s origin, significance, and the beautiful tortoise sanctuary that is the island’s staple. My wife and I were so pleased with Salum’s vibe that we requested his services, again, for our last day in Zanzibar. The second meeting was just as effervescent. This time, like the last, Salum’s engagement with us and the community of people in Stone Town was immaculate. We stopped at a few of the local shops, the spice and fish markets, and the famous “jumping spot” where all the local kids dazzle crowds of people doing amazing tricks off the pier into the ocean. Lastly, I’d like to mention, during our final night, as a token of appreciation, we asked Salum if he could join us for dinner. He pleasantly obliged. In Zanzibar, the two words you’ll hear all the time are “Hakuna Matata”. With Salum, everything is “Hakuna Matata”. Thank you Salum for everything! We really appreciate you! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOOKING SALUM!

I visited Zanzibar twice for a girls trip and then for my honeymoon. Salum was my guide for both of these trips. He was always on time, kind and passionate about making sure that we enjoyed the best of Zanzibar! He also arranged and accompanied us on our safari trip in mainland Tanzania. Everything was well organised and catered to what we asked for. We enjoyed having Salum as our guide and would recommend him!

Salum took my family on an amazing two day tour in Zanzibar. We swam with dolphins and snorkeled with fish out near Mnemba Island, which was incredible and something the kids will always remember. Out lunch was a delicious seafood platter of locally caught tuna, rock lobster, shrimp, and octopus. I’m not even a huge seafood person (despite being from Seattle) but I found it to be incredibly fresh and tasty, so I would highly recommend it as you can’t get this kind of food elsewhere. There was also a sunset cruise on a traditional Dhow which was pretty cool. The second day topped it off with a walking tour of Stone Town, which has an incredibly rich history, and learning about its role in the slave trade made for a very humbling experience. Salum was super knowledgeable and friendly and made us feel at home on this beautiful island. We can’t...
