Sad to hear so much negativity. Was there for a month in 1998,no roads,no motorbike's,no hotels, one satellite phone at wooden shacks or tents where we stayed played volleyball with locals every evening...... Paradise 2025, please forgive me if I came across as selfish,I was just shocked at how much it had changed, not to mention the rubbish/pollution.It really was off the normal path most travellers followed,no Hotels, roads, bars or clubs.Every few weeks two volunteers would take orders and go to the local "big" Island with a fisherman and get supplies/ essentials. The day I went the engine broke on the boat and I had to tow the boat *being a strong swimmer as the fisherman could not swim (His name was Rin and he lived in the village with his wife and daughter, a truly beautiful soul.Incredible times.I remember on our return 2days 1night later everyone was crying because they thought we had drowned (only a sat phone that we did not have the number for)so we could not contact th

Read moreLovely and quiet place, just missing a hammock on the balcony and this would be a five! I personally preferred the garden view over the ocean view as I could see the jungle and the hills behind and the monkeys don’t climb on your wooden house on that side. The stairs to the beach are a bit of a sport to climb up again but you could walk on the beach until Cha Cha Bungalows and take the road back to Good Morning which is less steep. It’s a good workout though! The bed was large and comfy, the bungalow is in the forest so expect some insects. This wasn’t bothering for me and some cute geckos kept us company. You have a mosquito net above the bed so you’ll be well protected. Cold shower ofc like almost every accommodation in Thailand. Cheap bungalow (500B for two people) so around 5 euros per night for one person, can’t complain. The lady in charge of the bungalow is very sweet and arranging, she rented us a scooter, was very responsive and took us to the pier so we could take our boat to Koh Phi Phi. The place is ideal for calm and relaxation and proximity with nature. I enjoyed so much I...

And although the people are very nice and friendly, the situation is depressing. It's mostly tourists who clean up the trash on the beach, it feels like local people are happy with everything, it hurts to see how everything...
