The food at Lucky restaurant is amazing, so much so that I ate here 6 times in a week. The Som Tam is delicious, try the Som Tam fried for a whole new eating experience. The papaya is dipped in Tempura flour before being lightly fried and used in the som tam. The laab's were all delicious, squid, beef or chicken. And the sticky rice was delicious and colourful. Somtam, laab and sticky rice. The complete meal. The curries and noodle dishes were divine and everything was beautifully presented. The food is Halal and the prices are very reasonable. Much better than the over rated over priced restaurants that trip advisor will recommend. The owners are super lovely. They even gave me free ice-cream. Thanks guys. See you again some day. Read moreWhen on Koh Jum make sure to drop by Lucky's restaurant and have a chat with Lucky himself. He is not only a great person and has a lot to tell about the island and the people living there. He can also offer you dishes that are not on the menu. The crabs and octopus I had were delicious. But the fried prawns with garlic and chilli really hit bull's eye for me. They were served with a light tamarind sauce and buttery rice. Taking a bite from some of the fried chilis were the perfect contrast to the soft and sweetish flavours. Read moreDuring my 4 weeks holiday on Koh Jum I have eaten almost every night ar Lucky's Restaurant. The food is delicious and has a real good Thai taste. I have been many times in Thailand, but there are few restaurants with such a good cook in the kitchen. I ate almost everything on the menu... it's all good. The prices are very reasonable compared with restaurants in the same area. Ice cream as a dessert is a real pleasure for the tongue. Lucky and his staff are very nice people and they know what hospitality is. You feel immediately at home and I saw in those 4 weeks many people coming back...
