Beautiful wat (temple) and the monks were very helpful in talking about the ubosot, paintings, and the history. I’ll admit, I was looking for a different wat with a similar name (apparently, this happens often at this wat), but so glad to have discovered it. And, the dogs are super friendly!

I can't get passed the annoying dogs until this monk and nun rescued me and gave me the chance to get more photos. They have old photographs of the 10 successive kings and other interesting old photographs of the royal family I haven't seen anywhere else. The place is homey.

1 ในวัดเก่าแก่เมืองเพชรบุรีครับ บรรยากาศดีร่มรื่น มีน้องเด้นมาต้อนรับ หลวงพ่อท่านใจดีมากด้วยครับ หากท่านใดสนใจร่วมทำบุญสร้างเจดีย์ (นำต้นแบบมาจากจังหวัดน่าน) สามารถเข้ามาร่วมทำบุญกันได้ ปล.เพชรบุรีมีวัดเกาะ 2 วัดนะครับ วัดเกาะ คือวัดที่อยู่ในเมือง ส่วนวัดนี้คือ วัดเกาะแก้วสุทธารามครับ
