...ถือเป็นสะพานที่ยาวที่สุดในไทย ..... จำได้เมื่อครั้งเริ่มสร้างสะพานจะสร้างทั้ง2ฝั่งแล้วมาเชื่อมตรงกลาง จำได้ว่าในช่วงเวลาเย็นๆ..คุณพ่อมาพาลูกๆขับรถมาจอดและมองดูการสร้างสะพาน เห็นอุปกรณ์แต่ละชิ้นต้องตลึงคะ.... หลังสร้างเสร็จทำให้การจราจรสะดวกมากขึ้น คนสงขลา ปัตตานี ยะลา นราธิวาสจะเดินทางไปนครศรีธรรมราชขับเลียบทะเลก็ไม่ต้องขับรถลงแพขนานยนต์เหมือนเช่นสมัยก่อนอีกแล้ว ปัจจุบันอพก็ยังคงเปิดบริการอยู่คะ ลงแพและไปขึ้นฝั่งหัวเขาแดงคะ กลับมาที่สะพานแห่งนี้.. บอกได้ว่า..วิว.ทะเลสวยงามมาก ดูโล่งสบายตา คุณเห็นวิวทั้งฝั่งซ้าย ขวา ใกล้บริเวณจะมีร้านอาหาร มีวัดให้ไปกราบขอพร มีสวนป๋าเปรม ฯลฯ ปัจจุบันมองทะเลจะเห็นชาวประมงมาปักไม้ดักปลากันหนาแน่นมาก... ขอแนะนำว่า* ไม่ควรจอดรถกลางสะพานเพื่อมาถ่ายรูปสะพานกันน่ะคะสาว..สาว.. หากต้องการถ่ายภาพคู่สะพานควรขับรถไปจอดริมถนนที่ปลอดภัยแล้วเดินขึ้นสะพานไปถ่ายภาพน่ะคะ...เพราะว่า..เคยเจอมาแล้ว...มีสี่สาวเอารถมาจอดกลางสะพานตรงส่วนโค้งพอดีแล้วยืนถ่ายภาพ..ทำให้รถที่ขับไปมาด้วยความเร็วเลี้ยวโค้งออกมาจึงเห็นรถจอดต้องเบรกรถและออกข้างกันหลายคัน..อย่าทำน่ะคะ.....

Costruito durante il periodo in cui il generale Prem Tinsulanonda era primo ministro della Thailandia. La gente del posto lo chiama "Ponte di latta" o "Ponte di Pa Prem". La costruzione è iniziata il 26 marzo 1984 e la cerimonia di apertura si è tenuta il 25 settembre 1986. Il ponte è diviso in due sezioni. Il primo tratto collega Ban Nam Krachai, Amphoe Mueang attraversando il lago Songkhla alla parte meridionale di Ko Yo, a una distanza di 940 metri.
