Koh Kradan is a beautiful little jungle island. There are no cars or roads, and only one tiny minimart near the main resorts, but it’s lovely to spend a few days in peaceful (aside from the weird siren bugs) isolation. Sunset Beach is, unsurprisingly, great for sunset! In the morning the tide is up too far to enjoy it much, especially with submerged rocks all along the beach and a lot of rubbish on the sand and in the water. However, once the tide has drawn out it is a beautiful place for a swim! We enjoyed swimming and then reading on the sand as the sun set one particular evening. We tried snorkelling here but couldn’t find anything - may have been looking in the wrong place! Kradan (Main) Beach is nice all day - when the tide is high it makes a great spot to laze on the sand listening to the close by waves, watching crabs, or going for a snorkel, although the water can be a little dirty then with some rubbish - when the tide is low it’s great for a walk along the length of the island, exploring the rocks, and snorkelling is still possible. Although I will say that it is a very popular location for day tourists to come and spend the first half of the day - boat after boat of them pulled up when we were there, which somewhat disturbed the peace. Overall, aside from the disturbing amount of rubbish on the beaches at times (which we spent a disheartening hour trying to clear) the water is mostly clear, blue and refreshing, and the beaches nice. The jungle is muggy, full of mosquitoes and difficult, if not impossible, to navigate unless you are super adventurous and have some method of clearing a path, so better to just leave it be and enjoy the beaches when you can. There aren’t any food options on the island aside from the resorts so food is pricey, but the food at Paradise Lost is excellent, and I’ve heard good things about the food at The Seven Seas. In conclusion, if you’re looking for some peaceful time away from the party islands or the masses of tourists, this island may be what you’re...
Read moreDuring the last school break, I had a chance to travel with my group of friends to Koh Kradan, Trang Province, which is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful islands in Thailand. This trip not only allowed me to relax after months of studying but also gave me a truly memorable and fulfilling experience. Before we set off, my friends and I planned everything carefully, especially the outfits we would wear for photo shoots. We had seen many glowing reviews of the island on social media, so we packed more clothes than we actually needed, hoping to capture as many beautiful memories as possible. The journey from Bangkok to Koh Kradan took nearly an entire day. Once we arrived, we checked into our accommodation and put away our luggage. Then, we went out for dinner to recharge for the adventures awaiting us the next day. The next morning, we took a boat to Koh Kradan. As soon as we arrived, I was amazed by the island’s natural beauty. The crystal-clear blue water, soft white-beige sand, and distant mountain views made the place look like a painting. I took countless photos to preserve those magical moments. Before reaching Koh Kradan, our guide took us to the famous Emerald Cave. The glowing green light inside the cave created a dreamy and surreal atmosphere. After that, we went snorkeling, which was my first time doing so. I saw vibrant coral reefs and schools of fish swimming gracefully around me. It was one of the most thrilling and unforgettable experiences of my life. After this trip, I completely fell in love with the southern seas of Thailand. The natural beauty of Koh Kradan and the wonderful experiences I had there made it one of the most treasured memories of my life. Among all the beaches I’ve visited, the southern sea has become the most unforgettable...
Read moreSpent five amazing days on Koh Kradan, and it was everything I hoped for—relaxing, beautiful, and untouched. We stayed at Koh Kradan Beach Resort, where the staff were so friendly, and the food at the restaurant was delicious.
The island itself is pure paradise. Paradise Beach had the clearest water, perfect for swimming and lounging. We took a private long-tail boat tour to Koh Ngai and nearby islands, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters and exploring hidden spots. Walking around the island was lovely too, especially heading to Sunset Beach for the most incredible sunsets. Ao Niang Beach was rockier but still stunning. At night, the sky was unbelievably clear—we saw stars, planets, and constellations!
I’d definitely come back and highly recommend visiting this beautiful, peaceful island if you’re looking for a chill escape. Already dreaming of...
