I speak as I find I came to this place 9 years ago So as I returned today we went back what an absolute waste of 3hrs of our holiday. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Not so much as a glass of water was offered. This place is very run down. I won’t say what everyone else as said because The Hamam wasn’t bad it smells very damp and that’s what people refer to on the towels. The massage if you have a back problem on arrival you sure will have a bigger one when you leave. I am not an expert but I know a massage does not consist of someone grinding u back with the elbow and pummelling your skin and grabbing it. I am fit an health but an elderly person this could be a disturbing and upsetting experience medically. I was shocked beyond belief the decline since this place changed ownership a year ago. You get off the bus immediately they want money. Cos they know if they don’t get it off you as you go through the door they know the service u gonna get you wouldn’t pay them for it. I run my own business an I wouldn’t want somebody to speak of my business like this unless necessary and I feel all the tourists that visit it’s important this is highly lighted correctly. I thank you for reading this. STAY AWAY. Until somebody brings this place back up to the standard for close personal hygeine that we should all adhere. Cleanliness is next to godliness this...
Read moreI would not rate this place 1 star, if there was a minus option I would put that down. Its not a spa for relaxation rather a quick process and money making scheme. This is the worst hamam I've been to and it was my 5th time visiting Turkey and probably my 9th time getting a hamam. The only good thing about this place was that it was segregated for men and women. Other than that, the hygiene level was very poor. Ladies used the same gloves to exfoliate myself and my sister, upon face mask application the same brush was also used on our faces. The 'soft' massage was no where near soft or a decent massage, was left in pain the following day and now I feel as though my back has been left injured. All process of the 'Spa' was rushed. We was in and out of the place within an hour and felt so flustered and annoyed. Not to mention they charge different people different prices. A family was booked with us who paid in pounds and more than 10 times what we paid in Turkish Lira. Deceiving and...
Read moreAt first I had the best experience possible. I had an amazing hamam and oil massage, the ladies doing all this were nice and helpful BUT there was a man on reception who got annoyed with my toddlers for crying and told us to leave before everyone else from our group came. Usually whilst on holiday in turkey, the turks love kids. Anyone that saw my kids were loving and friendly towards them. But this man at topkapi hamam gave them the oddest looks for simply just being kids and hurried my husband's hamam to be done without the mud mask and salt therapy room. We paid money for all this but they didn't give us the full service for what we paid because our 18 month old was running around playing like 18 month olds do. Before booking this we were told our kids are welcome to go and it shouldn't be an issue but clearly this wasn't the case. AVOID if you're a family with young kids going...
