I was definitely on the tour with JohnG and Fred. What they both describe is accurate. I bet the tour guide spoke with us for a total of 5 mins the entire time. I called before booking to understand the stops during the 1hr vs 2 hr tour. I was told, the 1 hour tour goes to the âshipwreck and iguana islandâ and the 2hr tour has an additional 2 stops, âsand bar and floating tiki barâ. There was little to no safety instructions given. Johnâs description is accurate. We rode for about 35-40 and finally reached the sand bar. We stayed for 2 mins and watched all the other tourists on boats stop and play! We were not asked or allowed to get off our jet skis to take in the beauty of the sand bar. I would have loved to stop here and take pictures with my family! We then drove another 10-15 mins to a dilapidated island where we were told a developer tried to developed the small private island with villas but was unsuccessful. He said it had been undeveloped since 2008. If he said why⌠I didnât hear him. He then proceeded to say that the reason we didnât go to the shipwreck was because the water was choppy. He gave us no other alternative options at that time. The group was left to take a vote. Normally when you vote you are deciding between 2 things. But we werenât given another option so we assumed we would have to go back. But we still have another hour on our tour at this point. We all voted to go⌠and I will say to the guides defense⌠he was correct in telling us the water was choppy. We all made it to the shipwreck, but there were several times I thought to myself⌠this was a bad decision. My husband, 6 year old daughter and best friend were with me. I can definitely say I was praying most of the time. The guide did leave the group without stopping to check to see if the less experienced drivers were ok. I was going fast but it was because I refused to let the guide or my husband and daughter get too far from me! I was definitely uncomfortable but just kept going because there was no other choice. It took 30-40 mins to get to the shipwreck. Again, we got no history about the shipwreck from the guide at this point. We waited for 15 mins for the other drivers to get there. Floated aimlessly doing nothing. The 2nd guide got there and jumped off the ship for the amusement of some people on a boat NOT apart of our tour. A few of us were confused and were saying⌠âwhat are we waiting for and why are we still hereâ. The guide threw up his đď¸ as to say just wait! We were essentially dismissed! I was done at this point! I was on this tour with 6 couples back and july 2023. We had an awesome guide which is why we booked again. I would never spend my money with this company again. My husband and I standardly tip 20-30% because we know that the local economy thrives off tourism and the citizens rely on tips to make a good living for their families. Needless to say we did not tip this guide at all! I couldnât wait to get back on...
Read moreAbsolutely five stars and then some! Our family had the most unbelievable day on the water with this boat tour in Grace Bay â hands down the highlight of our entire trip! From start to finish, the experience was unforgettable and so thoughtfully curated. We felt like VIPs the entire time.
First off, a huge shoutout to our incredible captain and first mate. They were warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and so much fun to be around. They made everyone feel comfortable, from the littlest kids to the adults, and it was clear they love what they do. Their energy set the tone for an amazing day â professional but easygoing, and just plain nice people. You could tell they truly cared about giving us a great experience, not just getting through the day.
We started off cruising through the beautiful waters of Grace Bay, taking in stunning views and snapping so many gorgeous photos â the kind you actually want to frame when you get home. The water was crystal clear, the breeze was perfect, and the vibe was pure island magic.
The food on board was another highlight â fresh conch served up right there on the boat! It doesnât get fresher than that. It was absolutely delicious, and they even took the time to explain how it was prepared, which made the experience feel even more special and local. Truly a taste of the islands.
And the activities? So fun! The kids (and letâs be honest â the adults, too) went wild for the giant slide off the back of the boat. We must have gone down a dozen times. Then we headed over to Iguana Island, where we got to see these amazing creatures up close in their natural habitat â such a cool and unexpected moment. And the stop at Noahâs Ark for the swings over the water was picture-perfect. We all felt like kids again, laughing, swinging, and splashing into the sea.
This tour checked every box: gorgeous scenery, unique stops, delicious local food, family-friendly fun, and hosts who genuinely made the day something special. If youâre even thinking about doing a boat tour while youâre here â do this one. Itâs the real deal, and youâll be talking about it long after your tan fades.
Thank you again to the captain and mate for a day weâll never forget. Weâll be back â and weâll be...
Read moreWe went on one of their boats with Captain Crunch last Tuesday, June 18 at 1:00.
Our highly anticipated experience was such a let down. The boat was booked through a concierge and apparently they passed his commission on to us! The 1400.00 trip online cost us 1700.00.
First thing, we had to waste time of our booked cursing time being taken to their office to sign the ipad....never was that explained and what a waste of time in this electronic age.
The captain and his assistant were less than helpful during the entire booking. They were not engaging at all. One would think someone in the tourist industry would at least act like they like their job! They would drive us to a location, point us in a direction then get on their cell phone until it was time to go to the next place. The spot they choose for snorkeling was so rough it was hard for the adults to snorkel, much less the children! They provided no instruction or assistance. At one point a big wave came as my daughter in law was trying to get up the ladder and they didn't even try to help. She ended up throwing her flipper in the boat. They did take us to a spot to get a conch, which my son requested. They found one for him but when he came up from getting it, he had so much ear pain he was throwing up over the side of the boat. The captain just sat there with a smile. We had to ask for food (which was very sub par) as the children were hungry then at the sand bar instead of serving it again, they were on their phones so my son went to the cooler to get it out. The captain said, oh I forgot. They also failed to give me the bottle of wine the concierge had given me for the mix up in dates and asked them keep for me during our time on the water.
So, all in all, the trip was so disappointing. To spend over 2000.00 (including tip) and not receive excellent service is just not right.
I did contact the company via email and the only response was a snarky response to my trip advisor review blaming us for using a beach hustler.
STAY CLEAR OF...
