Wow! I booked the shipwreck tour per the recommendation of my air bnb host who is a local on the island. I was a bit weary that this trip was a tourist trap and that the ship was put out in the water for tourists. I was completely wrong. I arrived at tge dock and was greeted by Blake the manager who is as sweet as can be. He gave me a bigger get ski to fit all of my belongings to ensure that my sundress wouldnt get wet. I am traveling alone so I thought I would be paired with a group of people. Again, I was wrong! I was given my own personal tour guide. Dre and he was phenomenal. Hex was patient with me and took pictures and videos of me jumping off the ship. He educated me about the ship and explained that, due to a hurricane, it wrecked 18 years ago and could not be rescued because the water was too shallow. While I was on the boat, Dre caught some fish in his hands and took pics. It was a lovely surprise to see those pictures. I highly recommend Wako Sports!!! Bring water shoes (I forgot mine in the air bnb) because the boat is rusty (dont let that deter you) bring a waterproof bag if you want to take pictures inside the boat, and make sure to jump off the highest point. You only live once, there's no do over in life, tomorrow isn't guaranteed so take full advantage of today and jump off the boat... with you legs closed because if not, it...

After enquiring on the website, Megan responded very efficiently and we managed to book a tour of The Northern Cays tour in less than one hour — superb response rate and customer service. Chris was out tour guide and escorted our daughter while the heavy load (mum and dad) were left on the other sturdier jet ski and fabulous job at holding our weight during the full tour - LOL! We saw a gorgeous star fish, sea turtle, a shipwreck, a secluded beach, and even a flying manta ray, all of which Chris was so vigilant and ensured we experienced the beauty of TCI sea life. I would absolutely recommend Mako Water sports if you’re in TCI and want to experience an alternative tour with a twist. If you want a professional, fun and informative tour, then Mako Water-sports are your crew to hook up with, they will not disappoint you! Thank you Megan, Sean and Chris, I hope your business continues to flourish as it deserves to, you...
We went out with Mako watersports o a 2 hour custom tour and I am so glad we did. We told our guide Sam that we wanted a bit of thrills and also to see some of the beautiful wildlife of the Turks and Caicos. He definitely came through for us, we speed out to the La Familiae Express shipwreck and Sam explained exactly how to get on the wreck and where to jump off safely. After we visited Little water cay where we saw rock iguanas ,all sorts of birds and a baby lemon shark swimming in the most blue water you have ever seen. Sam then guided us to a spot where none of the tour boats went that had a mangrove lagoon filled with jellyfish. I did the tour with my 13 and 10 year old boys and though it definitely got the adrenaline pumping, I never felt that me or my kids were unsafe at any time. The scheduling and arrangements were easy and painless. Our guide was knowledgably and accommodating. Overall a great time and a great memory for me...
