Carrefour in UAE in general is a very consistent, neccesary, and effective hypermarket to all citizens or even tourists in UAE. Its everywhere and it provides everyone with their needs.
But this Carrefour branch (specifically) located in discovery gardens pavillion mall, has no proper management compared to all the other Carrefour's in Dubai atleast.
It lacks staff in comparision to the ability and capacity the store has, and when a customer is facing a problem and needs something, the staff couldn't find the time to help, its not their fault, but the management should be responsible for this.
The counter lacks personnel, in comparision to 10 counters, only 3 personnel is there, customers expect and definitely need a fast and easy experience upon counter, and that problem is only solved with the amount of personnel, technology, and the personnel attitude, not to wait 30 minutes to pay 2 eggs and 2 milk
In the end this Carrefour needs to fix its problems, and always be responisble for these problems, these aren't problems that could be justified with excuses like lack of budget, personnels in vacation, bad location, etc...., these are problems that could easily be solved by a worldwide chain, and solving it would not only cause less complaint, it would even improve the store itself and boost it, it would really be a shame for such a good company with so much effect to be in this situation.

Read moreSadly Carrefour has been looking tired and run down. I was told several months ago that they had planned for a total renovation, replacement of run down fridges etc that has just never been seen too. Most of the meat counters are filthy with dried blood between packages. A serious concern and one I'd not take lightly m I'm surprised that the "Management" doesn't seem bothered about it. Someone needs to learn how to stock take! So often items vanish off shelves for weeks on end, the excuse is always the same. The suppliers haven't delivered or none in stock. Funny as when I arrive at the big carrefour there it is.
The absolute worst thing that I've come across is the huge HIKE in prices from the big carrefour to the one in Discovery gardens Pavillion. Items are up by over 10% on some items, acacia honey is 68 in big carrefour but 75 in Discovery. Cocopopa is 23 in IBN but 26 in Discovery. The list is endless.
You certainly paying for "convenience of which you are receiving very little of!
They need to pull their weight up in the discovery gardens pavilion carrefour.
Trust someone with some authority actually reads their reviews!
Shopping at carrefour for over 6 years now and this has just...
Read moreMy 70+ year pld mother had a racist encounter with customer service staff at the fish counter.
the staff deliberately ignores brown skinned people even if they reach the counter before other nationalities and even if there aren’t people waiting. She and another gentleman (both brown skinned) were waiting for their fish to weighed and another person came along after them, chose his fish got it weighed and left. You can take a guess what the other person’s skin colour was. i understand sometimes one can be in a bad mood or have an off day but when you experience the same behaviour time and time again - it is evident that you're being treated poorly on the basis of the colour of your skin despite having a sizeable order value i think the fish counter staff need more training and mannerisms on how to treat everyone equally and fairly because its quite likely its impacting sales at the counter as no one likes to deal with grumpy, racist people. this is particularly disappointing as weve been patrons of Carrefour for decades and its an institution that prides itself on customer service. Somehow this is completely lacking at the Ibn...
