Mapperley Reservoir — Local services in Amber Valley

Really nice place to fish, I took part in a pike match and had a few, but learnt alot about the water and met one of the committee guys there who was very informative about the other stock held in the water, big perch, tench, large head of bream for the quiver tippers! and carp of which there are 4 known 30's for the bivvi uppers! Random price to park up - £4.40 but the ticket machine does take card and there are on site toilets, just remember to leave one half of your ticket in the car and the other in your pocket as I heard the parking attendant is "proper on it"...

Nice walk around Maperly reservoir.first part of the walk is in the open then it goes into woods so keep to the path and bear left. The the walk goes across the reservoir wall showing picture postcard views all the way back to the car .it's mainly on the flat. So easy walking,can be muddy in parts so...
