Even in winter this is worth a jolly jaunt up the hill. You can get bus number 3, 13, or 231 from Bath centre. Then it’s a nice walk on a paved but quiet road, with only a small muddy section near the top. I didn’t find to be slippery. About 30 minutes walk from the bus stop. My app tells me it is 50 floors up. The views are delightful. Nice greets from passer-bys. Keep in mind it’s not the kind of place to have a toilet. A fine way to get your steps in!

Have always liked the song and was in Bath so thought I’d check it out and am pleased I did. Walk is not that strenuous a bit muddy at times so proper shoes are recommended- rewarded with a great view over the city. Cold and windy November day when I went - would make for a great picnic in the summer.

Stunning views of Bath and the surrounding area. We walked from Bath centre and enjoyed the various sites along the way including the Holbourne Museum, the Canal, Bath Rugby Training Ground (😁), and Batheastern. It was quite a trek up the hill, but worth every step.
