Even in winter this is worth a jolly jaunt up the hill. You can get bus number 3, 13, or 231 from Bath centre. Then it’s a nice walk on a paved but quiet road, with only a small muddy section near the top. I didn’t find to be slippery. About 30 minutes walk from the bus stop.
