We had a lovely walk along the River Llugwy, along the cobblestones & under the evergreens! We reached the beautifully situated ‘Miners Bridge’ which has been sympathetically restored to former glory prior to being washed away in a storm. The gorge is incredible & seems the perfect spot for some wild swimming! The waters were crystal clear & a group of swimmers seemed happy enough in them. I would highly recommend this easy route walk to anyone visiting Betws Y Coed. Follow the signposts at the end of Pont Y Pair Bridge for the river & forest walk. Footpaths weren't that clear, and the walk is a little rocky in places. We joined the path off the main A5 road opposite Oakfield House B&B. But it can be joined further up the A5 too.
