We had a lovely walk along the River Llugwy, along the cobblestones & under the evergreens! We reached the beautifully situated ‘Miners Bridge’ which has been sympathetically restored to former glory prior to being washed away in a storm. The gorge is incredible & seems the perfect spot for some wild swimming! The waters were crystal clear & a group of swimmers seemed happy enough in them. I would highly recommend this easy route walk to anyone visiting Betws Y Coed. Follow the signposts at the end of Pont Y Pair Bridge for the river & forest walk. Or alternatively you can access the bridge off the A5 / Holly Head Road and walk down a set of steps where you will reach the gorge & bridge.

Stunning place and a must visit if you’re near Betws-y-Coed. We parked at Pont-y-Pair bridge and walked along the river. Such a beautiful walk through woodland and fields, lots of paddling spots for the kids. The bridge itself is fantastic, they’ve done a great job replacing it after the storm a few years ago. We stayed at the bottom of the bridge on the rocks for an hour, with a picnic and lots of exploring over the rocks (with care!).

Lovely walk through the woods alongside the river to get to the bridge. Shame it's not the original bridge but great that they've replaced it with a replica. Footpaths weren't that clear, and the walk is a little rocky in places. We joined the path off the main A5 road opposite Oakfield House B&B. But it can be joined further up the A5 too. We also saw a heron fishing while we were there. Very quiet and picturesque.
