Usually very nice but today. Must admit don't usually come so close to opening time.the fish, what little there was, inside a thick layer of batter that tasted as if left from lunch or previous opening time, not only reheated but very dry. Not thick and juicy. The end was brittle with nothing for at least an inch . Then the remainder very thin fish not chunky anywhere. Totally disappointing and had to leave it. Always a great friendly service , huge portions and reasonable priced . When I order a fish on its own for my mum, they always throw a few chips in as well which is greatly appreciated ( or mine get pinched ) much better than most of the other places locally , including the one in a neighbouring village that supposedly...
