Pirate golf could do with more shade in the course as I was guiding someone through the course (a guide dog can only do so much lol) it meant we had very little shade between turns which wasn't great for us or the guide dog. (For anyone interested she got 2nd place out of the 4 of us, lol, she did awesome) But other than that a pretty decent course which was fun and fairly easy to guide around.

I have been to so many mini golf spots and this one is by far so much more superior, in my opinion one of the best mini golf spot ever. 18 holes and all of them were so fun and I loved that they were all intense ones, made things competitive for us. If you are in the Milton Keynes area, this is a must visit spot!

One of the best golf courses I've been to! Really impressed with the creativity of the courses, especially the ones that had upstairs and downstairs sections and also the pulley across the water to one of the courses, very unique. I would definitely return here and it was great on a summers day.

Honestly the place seems a bit out dated. What’s really disappointing is that the course clearly used to all have more obstacles on each pitch, but maybe they were too hard so all got replaced with rocks. How do I know? Because the faded signs of each pitch are still outdated and don’t match the course that’s in front of you. It basically just means each pitch is another variation of relatively straight line to get to the hole with a slight slope and some rocks in the way.

So when you do get to some really great features, like the pull-along platform, they seem a bit out of place because the rest of the course is a bit naff in comparison.

Don’t get me wrong, we still had a great time- just makes me sad to see what I could have been paying for. At least update the signs for each pitch, that feels so lazy and they’ve clearly been there a while.

The other thing that was brilliant, but also a shame, was on the second-to-last hole there was a wheel which you can spin to either have an advantage or disadvantage. This was great- why was it only on the second-to-last hole though?? We could have had them planted the whole way round and it would have made for a really creative game.

Yeah, we had fun but for £9.50 a head, I’d expect a bit better to be honest. Also, it’s really annoying that staff don’t always give correct information. We were told to collect putters and a ball from outside, went to find some where there were none, went back in and another couple then went in front of us because they were given the equipment in the shop, and they were quite slow so we were having to wait so much on a basically empty course. Each time I’ve been the staff seen really unenthusiastic which has brought the rating down for me.

So...

Booked online to play here today at 2.30pm ... we arrived at 2.20pm and queued until 2.45pm just to get to the booking desk ... no priority was given to people that had pre booked. Once we got to the booking desk I asked the question do you not have any cut off point when you turn people away that have not booked because it’s too busy ... the member of staffs reply was I just keep letting people in until my manager tells me not too .... at this point a number of families were coming off the course having waitied 45 minutes to play 2 holes with 27 people in front of them for the next hole. At this point we decided we wanted a refund as this was not acceptable ... only to be told because we had booked online we weren’t able to get a refund just a credit for another day ! They were clearly out to make as much money as possible with no consideration for the wait time or enjoyment of their customers game of golf ... I will be emailing to get a full refund we were clearly at a disadvantage because we...

Large course, seems fun with many holes and various challenges. However at busy times there is no shade or water available so many left halfway through the course. In our experience despite being a small group the large parties of 5 or more were slow and were not told to allow twos to go ahead. In the same experience a party of about 20 which is against their rules were allowed to cover 2 holes at a time and skip ahead of others causing confusion and distress. We had to skip holes to even finish and would not go back to disturb others. Overall poor staff, poor management and rude behaviour let's down an otherwise interesting course. In my advice don't bother there are plenty others out there, hopefully the indoor one in Milton...
