I used your Elephant Room on Saturday 23.06.18 from 4pm for a birthday celebration.
Positive- Becca was extremely helpful from start to finish. She had done my booking and she helped me set up everything. Very friendly and kind. STAR!!!
Negative - not being able to set up my decorations before 4pm because the room needed cleaning (that is what I was told when I called in the morning) meant that I spent most of the time i paid for to enjoy the birthday setting up the room. So I think 30 mins before 4pm would have been helpful.
The party hostess didn't show up until 4.50 when Becca had done all the work. I do not even recall her name - says a lot about the impression she made. Hostess brought in the food, was nice with the kids and guests but didn't seem keen on refilling the drinks when we run out even though we were actually using the juices we had from the play tables. I had to ask her to refill. She then brought the concentrated juice to the room, in front of all the guests, pour it in my jugs and used OUR bottled water to dilute!! Without asking! This left us with only a few bottles of water! Food wise, the hostess cleared up everything and only left the tray with the adults sandwiches. Full trays of pizzas, sandwiches, fruits etc I had brought in dairy soya free bread, sandwiches were made and there were plenty left but she cleared them up without asking! I have a dairy free diet, barely had half a sandwich before they disappeared whilst we were still in the room. When I asked her where they were, she claimed someone must have taken them outside of the room, there weren't many left etc. A whole loaf of bread eaten by 1 toddler and half a sandwich by me! Seriously?!? Overall impression, her job was to get the food in and out as quickly as possible so that we are out of the room by 5.30.
No value for money for a birthday celebration. Rated 1 star for the great help from Becca and the soft play facility which is above average.
Would I book with them again? NEVER!
Would I recommend them to someone else?...
Read moreWe are new to the area and I thought we’d check out Jungle Adventure. My one year old and I lasted about two minutes here. The 0-5 zone that I went to had older children in it, which I know can be expected but you’d think staff would be aware of this and would make an effort to keep babies and children safe before an accident happens, rather than wait for one to be entered into the accident book. Surely staff members should have some sort of responsibility in an establishment like this? Luckily, we didn’t encounter an injury as we weren’t in there long enough, but had we stayed any longer then I’m pretty sure it would have happened. I appreciate soft play is for all ages, but if you have age appropriate zones, then surely it’s the responsibility of staff to man that area and not the parents. How are you meant to find the parents of the children if they aren’t even sitting anywhere near them?
After complaining, I got told I could have TWO free visits. Financially, this makes no sense at all. The duration in which I got told this was valid for also rapidly decreased from the time I requested a refund at the till, to having a further email conversation about it a week or two later. Initially, I got told that my two free visits would be valid for two years. After an email conversation, I then got told three months.
I’d have much preferred to get a refund, especially after making it pretty clear I wouldn’t be returning. If I’d gone to a shop and bought an item that I wasn’t happy with and had the receipt, then I’d get a duration of time in which I could get my money back……a little greedy if you ask me. My money is still sat on the system and surely if a customer is dissatisfied then they’re entitled to some rights?
I will never be returning due to the lack of understanding. I would understand that a refund wouldn’t be possible if I was in the building for a substantial amount of time, not...
Read moreNOT AUTISM FRIENDLY OR AWARE We’re boycotting Jungle Adventure from today after using them for several years. My wife took my eldest son yesterday. He is severely autistic and verbally limited. After playing in the ‘toddlers section’ for a minute or so, one of the male teenage workers felt the need to approach my wife in an abrubt manner and instruct her to remove our son from the area he had decided to play in claiming he was too old to be in there. He showed a complete lack of awareness and understanding. There were no other children in the area at the time and my son was behaving perfectly. Zero need for him to be removed from the area. My wife explained to the worker that my son was autistic and also pointed out that there were no other children in the area. The worker didn’t seem to care and (almost) sarcastically offered a refund and said that “It is what it is, I don’t make the rules”. My wife was so angry that she felt the need to leave immediately. We’re utterly disgusted my the discrimination we’ve received from this Jungla Adventure employee. I wish she’d have taken this young lads name because he needs to be immediately re-trained. Personally I’d fire him as he demonstrated a complete lack of empathy and understanding and in all honestly belongs in a different area of work away from children, especially ones with...
