Quiet little train station. There is a cafe near by (although you'll need to check the opening hours), and a couple of shelters on site. There is also a ticket machine for those who need it, as the signal on site isn't great Padley Gorge is a moments walk to the north, and is gorgeously beautiful. You can go through the gorge and on to Burbage Edge in around an hour, although the walk is nearly entirely uphill. Curbar Edge is to the south and whilst a lot of the path to the edge is uphill, it isn't too far You can also head west, and join the River Derwent and head north to Hathersage If you time it right, and on a good weather day, you can get a great sunset photo too

Not bad station out of no where with good facilities including a ticket machine, bicycle racks and waiting shelters. I like the tunnel cover in green trees. So...
