My family and some friends have just returned from a short holiday staying in all of the cottages on Manor Farm and it will be impossible to describe just how perfect this entire place is. Every single cottage is decorated and equipped to the very highest of standards. Absolutely everything was beautiful, tasteful and of top quality. Each cottage is just perfect; a true home from home (they even had the same Denby Dinnerware set we have had home 💕) and we couldn’t have wanted for more or better.

Not only are the cottages perfect, the location is sublime! The view is breathtaking from the farm; so much so it caused my emotions to over run and made me cry with happiness (I’m a pretty emotional person I admit!). It’s just stunning. The farm is immaculate! I can’t describe how tidy and beautifully everything is presented despite the farm having cows, sheep, chickens, hens, a couple of amazing pigs and the cutest pet Pygmy goats. All you smell are flowers and fresh air. All you hear are birds singing. It’s quintessentially English countryside at its best. To top it all, you’re mere minutes away from the quaintest village of Ashford in the Water and the gorgeous town of Bakewell. There’s so much to see and do in this area that we will be returning to the cottages as we’ve not seen the half of it.

Finally, to our hosts, Julia and John. They could not have been kinder, more generous or accommodating. Wonderful folks who go out of their way to assist. I could go on and on, but I will finish by just reiterating that this place is exceptional and is not to be missed. You won’t...

We rented The Hayloft at the end of June 25 for a long weekend for an 85th birthday so it was a multi-generational gathering. The host was extremely helpful and answered all my questions and recommended a handful of caterers (we chose Scoff who were brilliant). ||The barn is perfect for a large party - the ground floor is open plan with L-shaped sofa / seating area and two tub chairs ( lovely log burner - which we didn’t use) at one end, the kitchen area with double oven which has everything needed to cater for large groups in n the middle and a large dining table leading out to a court yard area with BBQ at the other end. |There are two downstairs bedroom leading off the sitting area (up a few steps ) with a bathroom which is helpful if you have people who find the stairs difficult. |Upstairs there are 4 further double/twin rooms, each beautifully and simply decorated with a shower room at each end of the corridor. The flexibility of the bed setup was a real bonus and the host was quick to confirm that all beds could be made up as single beds rather than doubles which suited our party.||The games barn with extra seating was great as was the little shop for meat etc. ||The beautiful views, especially from the seating area, walks from the door and proximity to Chatsworth House were perfect for us. I highly recommend...

Manor Farm Cottages exceeded our expectations. We were a group of 10 ladies on a (civilised) hen do. We stayed in The Hayloft - the accommodation and facilities were amazing. The barn has been converted so such a high standard. Everything is clean, tidy and well though of. The detail of the restoration is fabulous. The bathrooms included two shower rooms and also one with a bath and shower over. The beds were super comfortable so we all slept well. We loved the kitchen and comfortable seating - both the chairs at the long kitchen table and the beautiful blue sofa. It was so nice that the whole group could all be together. The weather was fabulous so we made good use of the seating outside and the BBQ. We also used the games room for a group pilates / yoga session and also used the woodland area for an outdoor picnic. The scenery surrounding the farm is just breath taking. Julia and her husband were so helpful and gave us some great tips and recommendations - thank you! We also fell in love with Honey the dog :) We walked from the accommodation into Bakewell (just over 4 miles) which we would also recommend. Overall, a fantastic weekend. Luxury accommodation and fabulous location. Highly recommended. We very much hope to...

What a wonderful place this is? 🤩 I led a Spanish Language Immersion Retreat here and everyone was amazing by this location and house. It was so clean and tranquil and just perfect! The welcome was a bit weird as when I got there, all the talking and introduction was happening in the carpark. I thought I would be shown around properly, making sure I know where things are etc. Instead I was talked through the procedures in the carpark..I personally found this very odd, especially for the level of Luxury this place represents. Plus my group told me the owner said a few times how lucky we were to be there because usually larger groups ( we were 16 ppl all between 35-65) are never allowed. So naturally my group started to feel a bit less welcomed or wanted there which made Me and Them feel confused 🤔 as we were literally just studying in the house, no loud music or party... Never really understood this statement. But apart from this Really one of the most beautiful places I've stayed and Again EVERYONE loved the design and the whole atmosphere in and around the property.

Beautiful and perfect mini break - We stayed in the Goods Wagon which had everything you needed for 2 people - impeccably clean, hot, modern shower and great views across the Derbyshire countryside. The farm is blissfully quiet and with a bonus games shed to entertain when it gets wet outside - the local walks are wonderful and afterwards make sure you do try the local farm produce - we tried the burgers and sausages and they were great quality and tasty. Cute welcome pack on arrival was very thoughtful and tasty. We will book again and come back for sure.

Another extended stay in The Milking Parlour. Cosy, spotlessly clean accommodation with a luxurious bathroom. The owners, John & Julia, are friendly and helpful. It was a delight to watch the goats in the field, especially the week old kid. A superb location with so much to see & do. We will be back
