Firstly the free & convenient parking is great, that is what the star is for. My entire experience of this place was ruined by one shop. The lady at the bag shop looked like she was chewing a Lemon & l could feel her glare as we looked at the rather poor selection of bags; it was like she thought we were going to rob the place; despite this sour atmosphere we did purchase a bag & it was one of the most miserable buying experiences ever; it was a relief to leave the shop! We considered venturing further but it looked so quiet & desolate, & after that depressing experience didn't have the appetite to possibly have that awful attitude again from other shops. l know that is probably unfair to the other shops there as l'm sure they would have been lovely, but we had been completely put off by that initial unpleasant experience. We left feeling pretty deflated by the experience, will never come back here again. We went to the Chatsworth Farm shop Instead, what a contrast, the staff were so...
Read moreQuite a good range of shops. Good parking. Cafe good. Easy access.Been redecorated since take over of site. Need to fill empty shops though. Pity Mountain Warehouse no longer there. Would like to see local food shop with home made produce. Barrier to car park now which closes automatically at 18:00. Some new shops opening soon. No sanitiser available before entry to the toilets. Good to see Weird Fish shop opened up. Would recommend Masserelli's for food. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Hospice shop worth a look to support them. Prices increased a lot on some items of food in Masserelli's restaurant. More shops occupied. Would benefit from having toilets open near The Works. Good to see makers shop with local crafts people. Lovely atmosphere in there . Worth a visit in there , especially if looking for a unique gift. Return visit October 2024. Visited Masserelli's and coffee good strength although cups smaller and prices increased. Good to see most...

There is a soft play centre, a bike shop and a couple of lovely cafés where you can enjoy a quality lunch, light bite or even an indulgent gelato. The Toy shop is my favourite stop (but don't tell my girls, they think I'm only there for the keenly priced Cragghoppers and...
